HTC has gone all out with the DROID DNA, and it pays dividends: the new Verizon exclusive breaks records with its 1080p display, putting HTC back into the limelight with a legitimate flagship. A Full HD screen, 4G LTE, and a quadcore S4 Pro chipset tick the spec boxes more comprehensively than we’ve ever seen before, though big displays and fast processors do make us worry when the battery is non-removable. Apple and Samsung can add products to lawsuit, judge rules

On November 6, we reported that Apple and Samsung, in their seemingly never-ending patent war, sought to have additional items added to the existing lawsuit between the two companies. Judge Grewal was reported to have expressed concern that not allowing the companies to add products would trigger a new series of lawsuits. Now, ten days later, he has ruled in favor of the requests. Welcome to Tuesday evening everyone. We had a pretty big day, what with the reveal of the HTC DROID DNA and all. HTC announced that the DROID DNA will be arriving at Verizon on November 21, and we even managed to go hands-on with the device and its wireless charging dock. Of course, today was also the day that the Nexus 4 and the Nexus 10 became available on the Google Play Store. True to their word, Motorola has indeed updated the DROID RAZR M for Verizon Wireless to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean here in November of 2012. This update represents a large stride for Verizon as well as Motorola and also brings on another reason why them being acquired by Google was a great, great thing for all parties involved. This update takes the place of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and makes Google Now, Voice Search, and an updated camera interface a reality for the most awesome little HD display-toting device Motorola has ever produced. The folks at HTC have brought on a beast of a device this week in the DROID DNA, a smartphone with a 5-inch full HD 1080p super LCD 3 display and the highest resolution and pixel density available in the whole entire world. This device is literally the most high-definition smartphone on the market and works with Verizon’s 4G LTE network for data speed, also coming packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core 1.5GHz processor under the hood for beastly power.

Android 4.2 manual install for Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 7 goes live

Google is pushing out Android 4.2 Jelly Bean to Galaxy Nexus owners via an over-the-air update, but if you're impatient there are ways to jump the queue and grab the upgraded OS direct. The firmware for the GSM version of the Galaxy Nexus (i.e. not Verizon's LTE-equipped handset) is available to download from Google's servers, for manual flashing. Android 4.2 OTA brings lock screen widgets and multi-user support

Those of you working with one of the three Nexus devices currently offered up by Google, those being the Nexus 4 and 10, will be glad to know that an Android 4.2 OTA update has begun rolling out. This update includes two major updates into what we already knew was supposed to be possible with this Jelly Bean+ build, that being Lock screen widgets and Multi-user support. AT&T HTC One X+ and VX pre-orders begin tomorrow

Today we heard that Judge Lucy Koh will examine claims of misconduct on the part of the jury foreman in the Samsung vs. Apple patent trial, and Apple is actually being dragged back to court for a dispute over FaceTime in the iPhone 5 and iPad mini. Speaking of the iPad mini, Apple confirmed today that the LTE iPad minis should be shipping out in the next five days, and the company announced that it will be donating $2.5 million to the Hurricane Sandy recovery effort on behalf of its employees.
