This week the second full Star Wars trailer was revealed - in Japan. It would appear that either Japan is simply getting their trailers first (very possible) or JJ Abrams is messing with the lot of us. Either way, here's what you're about to see: more lines from the film, more scenes that you've never seen before, and a really chilling revelation. Like a rudimentary, sparking, red, and evil lightsaber to the neck of your best buddy, heatedly, terrifyingly.

This awesome life-size R2-D2 fridge is Japan-only

Well, Star Wars merchandising and product tie-ins continue to pour out as the release date for The Force Awakens draws near. This time, however, Japan may have topped it all, with the just announced R2-D2 mini fridge from AQUA. That's not to say the fridge is "mini," as it's actually a life-size R2-D2 model, complete with movement and sound effects. Since we've already seen R2-D2 as a lawn ornament, a showerhead, and even a humidifier, there was really no other products left to explore besides mini fridge.

While Amazon said last month that its Prime Video streaming service would be debuting in Japan sometime in September, the company has now officially announced its arrival a month later than expected, but alongside Fire TV hardware as well. Both the Fire TV and Fire TV Stick will begin shipping in Japan on October 28, only the fourth nation after the US, Germany, and the UK to see the devices. PlayStation 4 gets price drop in Japan

In addition to revealing PlayStation VR as the official name for their virtual reality gaming headset, Sony used its pre-Tokyo Game Show press conference to announce a new price for the PS4 console in Japan. The console currently sells for 39,980 yen (about $334) in the region, but starting on October 1st its price will be 34,980 yen ($292). This is the first official price reduction on the PS4 from Sony since the console launched, and it could mean similar price drops in other parts of the world in the near future.

After four days, Japan’s cargo ship has safely arrived at the International Space Station. The delivery was made by the H-II Transfer vehicle (HTV-5), and it brings with it, among other things, that whiskey we talked about earlier this month. Says NASA, the delivery was comprised of nearly 9500 lbs of experiments and supplies; it arrived at 6:55AM EDT after having been launched by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency on August 19. The cargo vehicle was launched from the Tanegashima Space Center via the nation’s H-IIB rocket.

Watch Japan launch a rocket with supplies for the International Space Station

Only a few hours ago, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) successfully launched an unmanned rocket carrying supplies for the International Space Station (ISS). The Kounotori-5 departed from the southern tip of Japan on Wednesday night local time, or just before 8:00 AM Eastern. The successful launch comes as good news to all in the space exploration community, as the last few months have seen a number of resupply missions end in failure, including SpaceX's launch of a Falcon 9 rocket in June.
