This week the folks at Acer have brought forth a lovely new notebook made for business users with both security and impressive performance made to rock. This device has a spill-resistant keyboard to protect your insides, works with a fabulous Ivy Bridge 3rd Generation Intel Core i5 processor with Intel's Turbo Boost Technology, and will be coming to the USA very, very soon. This notebook has a 14-inch Acer "ComfyView LCD LED backlit display coming in at HD 1366 x 768 pixel resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio right up front and center.

A manufacturer has finally decided to build a mini PC featuring silicon other than Intel’s Atom or AMD’s various APUs. In this case it's Giada, today announcing its new i53 “book sized” mini PC. The company has managed to cram in Intel’s Ivy Bridge processors into a 26mm thick chassis, saying that the whole package only consumes 35W. The other specs aren’t bad either.

Fujitsu announces Stylistic Q702 and LifeBook T902 laptops

Fujitsu has today unveiled two new laptops in its range. The first is a laptop and tablet hybrid dubbed the Stylistic Q702, while the second is a convertible laptop (remember those?) called the LifeBook T902. The Stylistic Q702 is constructed from a magnesium shell that weighs around 850 grams, doubling as a laptop when inserted into the keyboard dock which also provides extra battery life.

Acer has today announced the introduction of its Aspire 5600U All-in-One PC. The company says the slim chassis is around 35mm thick, with the machine featuring a 23-inch screen with a 1920x1080 resolution, a 5ms response time, 250 nits of brightness, and 10 point multitouch. The PC is powered by Intel’s new Ivy Bridge processors, and there’s a discrete NVIDIA GPU too.

Panasonic updates Toughbooks with Ivy Bridge

Panasonic has announced an update to its line of Toughbooks to include Intel’s new Ivy Bridge processors. The Toughbook CF-31 will be available in two configurations, Standard and Performance. The Performance model will come with a Core i5 3360M processor clocked at 2.8Ghz as well as AMD’s Radeon HD 7750M discrete GPU. The notebook can switch between the discrete graphics and Intel’s integrated HD 4000 GPU to balance power versus performance.
