ASUS Zenbook Primes official: Ivy Bridge, 1080p IPS

We’ve seen details leak out about the Zenbook Primes several times, but now ASUS has officially announced that its bringing the new Ultrabooks to the United States. Previous details were pretty much spot on: the new laptops will feature Intel’s Ivy Bridge processors in Core i5 and Core i7 forms, and while the default displays will have the standard 1366×768, a 1080p IPS option will be available on all models.

Dell Latitude 6430u is a business Ultrabook

Ultrabooks may be primarily focused at consumers, but how about a business Ultrabook? That’s what Dell has stumbled onto with a new entry into the Latitude range, the 6430u. Unsurprisingly, it’ll offer Intel’s Core i3, i5, and i7 Ivy Bridge chipsets, along with the typical specs you’d see on other Ultrabooks. Acer announces Aspire M5 Ultrabooks

Acer has today announced its new range of Ultrabooks, the Aspire M5 series. Acer will offer both 14 and 15-inch models featuring Intel’s new Ivy Bridge processors and discrete NVIDIA graphics. Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Ultrabook revealed

The next level powerhouse in workhorse Ultrabook has been revealed by Lenovo as being the ThinkPad X1 Carbon, complete with the claim that it is indeed “the world’s lightest 14-inch professional Ultrabook.” This Ultrabook “exceeds Ultrabook specifications” as Lenovo says with its premium Carbon Fiber roll cage enclosure and full package weighing in at 3 pounds. This notebook has a 14-inch display which works with Vibrant Hi-Resolution technology, it being 1600 x 900 pixel resolution with a thin bezel and 300 nit brightness. The keyboard is Lenovo’s latest setup with backlighting as well, so get prepped for a premium experience.
