Images of iriver's new ebook reader, the Story, have emerged, together with partial specifications for the 6-inch E Ink device.  As well as having a full QWERTY keyboard and a memory card slot content with up to 32GBs, the Story is compatible with PDF, epub, txt, ppt, doc, xls and other ebook formats without requiring their conversion. iriver's E30 PMP has begun to show up in the wild over in China, with PConline unboxing and briefly playing with the iPod nano rival.  A minimally-designed 89.9 x 42 x 9.8 mm slab, with a 1.8-inch LCD display and 52hr audio-playback battery life, the E30 is yet to make an official appearance on iriver's site. iriver's latest PMP, the E200, has been detailed on the company's site, and while it may lack a terribly-fashionable OLED display or support for Bluetooth headphones, it does look a solid, serviceable little chap.  The E20 is available in 4, 8 and 16GB capacities, with a microSD slot content with up to 8GB cards, and measures just 10mm thick. Details of iriver's upcoming range have leaked, courtesy of an Australian distributor, including such fancies as an Android-based iPod touch rival, an ebook reader and an internet tablet.  The iriver K2 is expected to launch in 2010, with a 3.5-inch touchscreen display, integrated WiFi and Bluetooth and a digital TV tuner; it will also, according to C.R. Kennedy iriver product manager Danny Bejanoff, use Google's open-source Android OS. Read The Full Story

Apple, Microsoft, iriver & more face Tsera touchpad patent lawsuit

Apple, Microsoft, Bang & Olufsen and iriver are among the defendants named by Tsera LLC, a company claiming to own a touchpad patent which has been vigorously infringed.  The lawsuit concerns Tsera's patent "Methods and apparatus for controlling a portable electronic device using a touchpad", and basically describes recognizing different touchpad swipes without requiring visual feedback. iriver have announced a new PMP, the NV Classic, which not only handles your multimedia playback but also includes a DMB digital TV and radio tuner and GPS navigation.  The iriver NV Classic measures 181 x 120 x 21.5 mm and is fronted by a 7-inch WVGA 800 x 480 touchscreen and the company's "Magazine" UI. iriver B30 PMP gets video walkthrough

All alone in a darkened room: what better to do than run through the GUI of iriver's quietly-announced B30 PMP.  A discrete appearance on the iriver site back in late May, the B30 distinguishes itself with a T-DMB mobile TV tuner and DAB radio, paired with a 2.8-inch QVGA display.  Now we've a full video run-through of the UI and, as is generally the case with iriver's products, it's a beautifully put together system. SlashGear has been hanging out with Google this week, at the I/O 2009 conference.  You can read our first day and second day highlights for the full details, but perhaps the most interesting news was Google’s Wave demo for iPhone and Android, and Andy Rubin’s confirmation that there should be 18-20 Android handsets on the market by the end of the year.  One of those is expected to be the HTC Hero; make sure to check out the promo video for the chin-heavy smartphone.

iriver P35 touchscreen PMP hitting US in fall

iriver US have confirmed that the P35 touchscreen PMP is set to land on American shores this fall.  Already on sale in Korea, complete with an integrated DMB digital TV tuner that's unlikely to make it to the US model, the P35 has a 4.3-inch WQVGA display and 8GB or 16GB of flash storage. iRiver Aquabeat – underwater MP3 Player

In Partnership with Speedo, iRiver created the LZR Racer Aquabeat – an MP3 player that operates underwater for up to 3-meter deep. The player comes with 2GB of internal storage and supports MP3 and WMA file formats. Just like the shuffle, it does not feature any display; only basic controls such as play, stop, volume controls, and track controls. Battery life is said to last up to 9 hours. It is available in Japan for 12,800 yen (roughly $150).
