Apple Patents won for iPhone application switching in-call, iPod Shuffle

It appears that the folks over at Patently Apple have found themselves in possession of a lovely cornucopia of newly won patent applications created by Apple over the past however-many years, this including such gems as the second generation iPod Shuffle and the ability to switch between applications during a call on the iPhone. As per usual, these patents don't necessarily point towards anything that'll be released in the near future, and in the case of the iPod Shuffle certainly weren't meant to be kept under wraps for long, but each are interesting to glance upon to know the process. Apple removes iPod Classic click-wheel games from iTunes

This is the 10th birthday for Apple's iconic mp3 player, the iPod Classic, and it will likely be its last. Following recent rumors that Apple will be discontinuing both the iPod Classic and the iPod Shuffle, it's been discovered today that Apple has removed the section in iTunes that was devoted to games made for the classic iPod's click-wheel. Spotify takes on iTunes with iPod management, download bundles, more [Video]

Streaming music service Spotify has launched its biggest assault on iTunes to date, with the addition of iPod management functionality. Plug in an iPod classic, nano or shuffle and Spotify will list it in the new "Devices" section of the updated software: you can then sync across your existing MP3s as well as buy MP3s through Spotify's refreshed download service. Apple Sues Samsung Over Galaxy Series Phones And Tablets

There may be a huge epic legal battle brewing between electronics giants Apple and Samsung. Apple has just filed a lawsuit against Samsung Electronics claiming the Korean company is copying the "look and feel" of their iPhone and iPad. Sennheiser get iPhone friendly with latest headphone range

Sennheiser's latest headphone range has been outed, and the company is resolutely targeting iPhone users.  That basically means that the Sennheiser MM 70i, IE 8i, PX 100-IIi, PX 200-IIi, HD 218i and HD 238i each get a microphone and remote control block in-line in the cable, which also controls voice commands on compatible Apple PMPs.
