Not one whole heck of a lot of news is written or read these days about the iPad Nano, one of the last devices to have been designed and released by Apple since their attention switched to purely iPhone and iPad in that sized market. But what we’ve got here appears very much to be an upgrade to the iPod Nano line, and the folks at Apple.pro have a collection of photos which depict it having a 1.3-megapixel camera! This may seem to the average citizen to be a fool’s errand as the current iPod nano has a clip on the back that would block and camera attempts – but lo! There it is!

The “special one-day Apple shopping event” offers an iPad 2 from $458, a $41 saving on the regular price, as well as a MacBook Air from $898 and an iMac from $1,098. Apple has kicked off its Black Friday UK sale, offering £31 off of its best-selling iPad 2 tablet, £81 off a MacBook or iMac, and dozens of discounts on Apple and third-party accessories. Described as a "special one-day Apple shopping event" - since the UK hasn't traditionally had Black Friday sales - the discounting is notable given how rarely the company agrees to slash its prices. Original iPod Nano recalled by Apple in USA

This week Apple has officially made public a recall program for its original iPod nano model here in the USA citing a rare overheating problem that has recently posed enough of a risk that full replacements will be offered on the whole generation. This isn't the first iPod nano 1st generation recall on earth, but it is the first inside the USA. Apple is recommending that users discontinue using their devices immediately and follow along with one of the methods they've got available for replacing the device with another model for free from Apple. We're at a point in our mobile device history where little things like how our finger moves across the display become important, this becoming rather clear here in an application for a couple of swipe of the finger gestures at the US patent office written up by Apple for iOS. What the patent application is titled is "systems and methods for displaying visual information on a device," and its two proposed gesture types are "hold then swipe" and "swipe then hold," both of them made to move in and out of images with ease and grace.
