iPhone Nano rumored to drop this Spring

Well, here’s an interesting rumor – a potential release date for a device that hasn’t even been confirmed yet.  The iPhone Nano stories will not die, and the latest one claims that Apple will release the iPhone’s little brother sometime this Spring.

Vaja add iPhone nano category to case listings

Vaja has become the next case manufacturer to add an iPhone nano category to its online listings, further fuelling the rumor that Apple are planning a compact version of the existing iPhone 3G.  The option is listed, as with XSKN, alongside the two existing iPhone models, but currently links only to an email update registration page.

SlashGear Week in Review – Week 52 2008

sony vaio netbookIt’s the final Week in Review of 2008, and unsurprisingly it’s been a relatively quiet week what with the holiday festivities taking priority.  Hopefully you’ve not spent your entire shopping budget on gifts, however, as there are still quite a few interesting gadgets on the horizon.  Notebooks small and large again seized the headlines, with various Sony websites dripping out news regarding the company’s upcoming VAIO netbook.  First a January 9th announcement was promised, then the netbook form-factor confirmed, and finally we’ve got spec details.  At the other end of the scale, more details of Lenovo’s ThinkPad W700ds appeared, while the mobile workstation itself showed up in photos and on video.

XSKN case manufacturer tips iPhone nano (again)

Case manufacturer XSKN has added further fuel to the iPhone nano rumors with the addition of a silicone case category for the unannounced device.  The company hit headlines this time last week, after a render of one of its upcoming iPhone nano cases was leaked.  The new section shows up under the iPhone heading, alongside the iPhone 3G and the first-generation Apple smartphone.

iPhone nano leaked by silicone case render?

The urgency to bring out third-party accessories just as soon as a product launches has bitten Apple a few times over the past year or so, with iPods and the iPhone 3G all being tipped via leaked case details.  Now we’re supposedly seeing the form factor of the upcoming iPhone nano, courtesy of a silicone skin case from XSKN.
