Apple will start in-store screen replacement for iPhone 5C and 5S

Back in May, we mentioned that Apple was looking to change up how it services customer devices under AppleCare warranty. Traditionally Apple has simply replaced a lot of iPhone models if damaged with a new device. As a way to reduce costs, Apple announced it will have employees at its Genius Bar repair items. Word has surfaced that Apple stores will soon be getting the ability to repair iPhone 5S and 5C screens along with other parts. Apple previously offered some repair services for the iPhone 5.

Apple iPhone 5c sneaks up on 5s in sales, surprises everyone

Now the new data is showing that the sales ratio is closing just four weeks after release.

iPhone 5s outselling 5c 2-to-1 tip analysts as orders slashed

Apple's iPhone 5s is outselling the cheaper iPhone 5c by more than two to one, market watchers estimate, amid reports that the Cupertino firm has slashed production of the plastic-bodied model. Demand for the iPhone 5c, which replaced the iPhone 4S at the $99-on-contract price point, has fallen significantly short of Apple's expectations, it's claimed, and while the two new handsets set sales records in the opening weekend of availability, the bulk of that interest is believed to be around the iPhone 5s.

Apple's iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s launch may have set a new record for opening weekend sales, but they've also significantly hastened the death of the 3.5-inch iOS screen size, new research suggests. Looking at North American web traffic and the screen sizes iPhone users were browsing on, Chitika Insights says in just a week after the iPhone 5s and 5c debuted, the share of traffic from iPhone 5-series devices rose 4-percent in terms of iPhone traffic overall.

Unity iOS 7 game controller support reinforces “optional” state

Unity iOS 7 game controller support reinforces “optional” state

Seeing the Apple-made universal game controller support in iOS 7 was a healthy boost of confidence for game developers around the mobile universe earlier this year. For the folks at Unity, this meant they'd be able to release games that were working with a compatible support module that would be able to take full advantage of controllers in a way that all devices could work with - and Apple would support them in return. With the update to Unity 4.2.2, developers around the Unity environment will be brought up to full controller speed, as it were.

Official iPhone 5c cases “fixed” with CaseCollage filler

If you've had your hands on the official Apple-made iPhone 5c cases with a real-deal iPhone 5c, you may have noticed an oddity on the backside - the word iPhone is covered up here and there by the uniform design of the case's grid of holes. This grid presents a bit of an oddity in Apple design as each part generally compliments the other - and thus steps forward the developers at Lunar Lincoln to save the day. They've created an app by the name of CaseCollage to make everything more than just OK - they've made the case a thing to behold by filling up all the holes with photos, symbols, colors, or otherwise entertaining bits and pieces of visual greatness.
