In one of the most addictive April Fools’ Day jokes we’ve seen in recent memory, Google released the Google Maps Pokemon Challenge this week. In this challenge, users are asked to search through the Google Maps app for iOS or Android to find Pokemon, capturing them with a tap. As each of these Pokemon appeared in the same location for each individual user, a crowd-sourced list was compiled.

Office for iPad release set for 11AM PST today

This week the folks at Microsoft responsible for Office have revealed that they’ll be releasing the first full-blown iPad iteration of the app today. This release will take place at 11AM Pacific time - that’s 1PM Central or 2PM Eastern - and it’ll be free. You can view documents and give presentations of documents without cost, but you’ll be paying a subscription fee to edit.

This week Apple has made a couple of moves in their iPad and iPhone collections available on the market that might not make a lot of sense to consumers. For the iPhone, they’ve added an iPhone 5c that works with 8GB of internal storage space - the previous smallest model was 16GB. For the iPad, they’ve gotten rid of the iPad 2 (the last model available with a 30-pin connector), replacing it with the iPad 4 (aka iPad with Retina Display and Lightning connector).
