iPad Air 4G launch spreads as regional carriers weigh in

Regional carriers C Spire and Bluegrass Cellular have thrown their LTE hats into the ring for Apple's new iPad Air, confirming they will be offering the 4G version of the new slimline tablet announced earlier this week. The commitment follows AT&T, Verizon, and the other big carriers each announcing support for the cellularly-enabled iPad Air, though C Spire and Bluegrass Cellular will apparently lag behind their rivals with a launch only pencilled in for "the coming weeks."

iPad Air gets thumbs-down from Woz

Steve Wozniak has been vocal about the new iPad Air, and while he wasn't critical of the device in general, he did say that it isn't a slate that is applicable to him. He went on to explain why, and in doing so revealed the perhaps more surprising detail about his home Internet, namely that he doesn't have broadband and it makes the iPad Air of little use.

iPad mini with Retina display supplies a third predicted demand warns IHS

While we've seen more than our fair share of leaks and tips over the past several weeks (and months, believe it or not) of the iPads that appeared officially just this Tuesday, word of the iPad Pro comes only from precedent.

iPad Air replaces 4th gen: where did they all go?

If you're keen enough to have noticed the new listings for iPads in Apple's online store since right around 24 hours ago, you'll have seen the complete axing of the 3rd and/or 4th generation iPad. This replacement was made by the iPad Air, which now sits in stores as one of two full-sized iPads, the other being the iPad 2. There are iPad mini units up as well, but what happened to all those 4th generation iPads?

T-Mobile gives 200MB data to all tablet users; New iPads for no fee upfront

T-Mobile is offering all its tablets, including the new iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina display, with 200MB of free data each month for the lifetime of the slate, as well as the option to spread the cost of a new tablet purchase over two years with $0 upfront. The new deals, part of what the carrier is calling "Un-carrier 3.0 Part II", applies to both iPad and Android tablet models, and also sees the cost of adding data allowances beyond the bundled 200MB reduced in price.
