iPhone 4 remains top seller despite iPhone 5 hype

All the hype surrounding the iPhone 5 hasn't put a damper on iPhone 4 sales. According to Canaccord Genuity analyst T. Michael Walkley, a survey of US carriers show that the iPhone 4 has remained the top selling smartphone for the past three months on both Verizon and AT&T. This is quite impressive since the current-gen iPhone is already more than a year old.

As part of Apple's new iCloud service is a feature called iTunes Match, which was first announced back at WWDC 2011. Why the iPhone 4S will be Free

Why the iPhone 4S will be Free

Here's the skinny: the following information is a set of educated guesses, analyzed facts turned into what I feel will be exactly what Apple will release at their next major keynote event as far as mobile devices go. First, I do not think that the device will have a "5" in the title. Although it's been an eternity in human time since the last iPhone release, that being the iPhone 4 for Verizon, in Apple time it's only been nearly enough time before the next massively successful release. What I believe here instead is that all four of the biggest carriers in the USA will get the newest version of the iPhone inside October of 2011 and that this device will hold more water than just hardware improvements.

iOS Assistant based on Siri tech, able to access contacts, calendars, and email

Apple's newest mobile operating system by the name of iOS 5 just keeps getting better and better it seems, today being sort of confirmed to be working with Siri technology, Siri being a company Apple purchased last year. Also in play is the fact that Nuance, a company that powers the voice-recognition aspect of Siri's current iPhone app, has recently released a separate app very similar to the current Siri app - this launching the idea that Apple's iOS 5 "Assistant" could be working completely on Nuance technology. We already know the two companies to be working together on one project: OS X Lion uses Nuance speech technology.

Apple Disabling Non-Developer iOS 5 Beta Devices?

It's being alleged today that Apple may be disabling devices that are running iOS 5 betas that have been acquired through unauthorized means. iOS 5 beta is meant for Apple's registered developers, but since those developers get UDID identifications for up to a hundred devices, some have unscrupulously sold these slots for profit.
