Intel’s new Skull Canyon NUC is targeting gamers

While it practically dominates the PC CPU market, Intel's graphics chips are considered passable at best, at least for an integrated graphics chip. NUC, or Next Unit of Computing, kits are mostly seen as reference devices and mini PCs than serious computing hardware. At GDC 2016, Intel is attempting to change that perception. Its most poweful NUC yet, Intel has unveiled the Skull Canyon NUC, model number NUC6i7KYK, as a competitive portable machine for both gaming and multimedia work, whether by itself or with a friend, like a Razer Core graphics enclosure.

HP Omen Pro : for game makers, not just players

HP Omen Pro : for game makers, not just players

The second coming of the HP Omen is here with the HP Omen Pro, one made for game developers more than game players. Inside users will find an Intel Core i7 processor, NVIDIA Quadro K1100M graphics card, and enough solid state drive storage to make with the game creation. This machine costs more than its partner (the non-pro), and rolls with many of the same looks on the outside. While most game developers take to desktops to push their high-powered creations, this machine makes the case for on-the-go makers.

Intel NUC gets its first Core i7 model

Mini, and even pico, PCs are not uncommon, but few will probably be aware that Intel has its own special line dedicated to that computing size. The Intel NUC, short for Next Unit of Computing, is the chip maker's own take on how mini PCs should be built, putting the whole computer in a single package rather than as separate components like most desktops. That NUC line is now getting a huge upgrade with the addition of a Core i7 configuration in the roster.

Tiki-Z mini-Review: The Tiny Gaming King defends his crown

The following review is going to be short and to the point. Not because it doesn't deserve more words, not because it's not an important product. We'd never do such a thing. Instead, this review is going to be short because there's not much to say that we didn't already say in our first Falcon Northwest Tiki review and subsequent crowning of the device as the best gaming PC of the year in 2013. Never mind the fact that it was actually unveiled before the year began.
