Google researchers are constantly working on cool things that we can all enjoy. The latest cool bit of tech that Google researchers have developed is a way to automatically create time-lapse images of tourist landmarks using photos that are found on image sharing sites like Flickr, Picasa, and others. The process begins with sorting somewhere in the area of 86 million photos by geographic location.

NASA remasters stunning image of Jupiter’s moon Europa

NASA has again remastered images taken in the 1990s of Jupiter's icy moon Europa, and it is the most stunning version yet. In it we get a look at the moon's vein-like threading through an otherwise pitted and etched white landscape -- says the space agency, this image best shows what Europa would look like to the human eye, never mind that it itself resembles a close-up shot of an eye. This follows a different version of the moon NASA released back in 2001, which was lower resolution and had more saturated colors.

There's really nothing better than an insanely large image, and NASA created a large one of their own, except this isn't an panorama of a landscape here on Earth. Eye-Fi, provider of SD cards that allow users to wirelessly transfer images, did some research and discovered two things: the first is that people want to wirelessly transfer photos from their camera to their mobile device, and the second is that they would more often use their camera if they could do this. Such data compelled Eye-Fi to create the Mobi card, which it has just announced.
