So you've got the need for some hard-copies of your papers to turn into your teachers for school, but you'd like to save space on the desk as well? Designer Byeong Min Choe has the answer you seek. This design is called "Document Extractor" and, looking like an iMac clone but with one giant difference, allows you to store a stack of paper in a tray behind it, and print, with the paper coming directly out the bottom. Apple has kicked off its Black Friday deals, with both the US and UK online stores - among others - offering discounts across the Mac, MacBook Pro, iPad, iPod and accessory lines. Patriot adds new Mac RAM to line

Sintek deny iMac touchscreen panel rumors

Friday's reports that touchscreen panel specialists Sintek were sampling projected capacitive touch sensors to Apple has seemingly got the company in a spin, with a forthright denial of any such arrangements being issued.  According to DigiTimes, Sintek VP Barry Wu outright denied that the company were working with Apple on touch sensors for an upcoming iMac refresh. The touchscreen iMac rumors refuse to die, which either suggests that Apple really does have finger-friendly all-in-ones in the pipeline or that tipsters simply love talking about them.  Latest grist to the mill is apparent word that Sintek Photronics is supplying projected capacitive touch panel samples to Apple, according to DigiTimes, using a new layering method that will apparently preserve viewing angles and reduce weight. iMac Core i7 Review (Mid 2010)

Apple’s recent refresh of the all-in-one iMac range may not have concurred with all of the preceding rumors, but the main expectation was certainly met: faster processors than ever before. Fresh to the SlashGear test bench is the 27-inch iMac, with the flagship quadcore Intel CPU. Pairing a 2.93GHz Core i7 processor with 4GB of DDR3 memory and a 256GB SSD, it certainly promises high performance; it also makes for an expensive buy, $2,799 to specify the same spec as our review unit. If you plan on ordering one of the new updated iMac computers that Apple unveiled this week, you can save yourself a bit of green by getting the most basic amount of RAM. Apple isn't known for offering good deals when you upgrade memory. Mac specialty shop OWC has announced memory upgrades specifically for the new iMac computers. Buyers can get 2GB of PC10600 1333MHz SO-DIMM RAM for $59.99. If that isn’t enough RAM for you a 4GB kit of the same stuff with a pair of 2GB modules will set you back $117.99. If you want that 4GB of RAM in a single module, you can get it for $144.99. OWC also has kits with 8GB via a pair of those 4GB modules for $279.99 and a 16GB kit with four of the 4GB modules for $549.99.

iMac gets Core i3, i5 & i7 update, new Apple Magic Trackpad

As expected, Apple has updated its iMac line to include Intel’s Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7 processors, and they’ve also outed their Magic Trackpad too.  As before there are 21.5- and 27-inch versions of the iMac, now kicking off from $1,199 with a 3.06 GHz Intel Core i3 processor, 4GB of DDR3 memory and ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics; $1,699 gets you a 27-inch 3.20 GHz Intel Core i3 machine with ATI Radeon HD 5670 graphics.
