Samsung transparent and tiling screens go square

, Aug 27th 2012 Discuss [0]

Samsung is hoping buyers see right through its intentions with its latest display, a transparent screen designed for advertising as well as creating huge multi-panel installations with minimal bezel gap. The Samsung UD22B measures in at 21.6-inches, but unlike most current screens uses a square 1:1 aspect ratio rather than traditional 4:3 or widescreen 16:9. That, along with a mere 5.5mm gap between screens when lined up, means a display wall you can simply tile into place. Read The Full Story

You might want to skip the Galaxy Note 2

, Aug 20th 2012 Discuss [0]

This month we’re hearing rumors upon rumors that Samsung will be releasing their second full iteration of the Galaxy Note line with a “2″ model toting a massive 5.5-inch display – but you might want to go ahead and skip it. We’ve been using the Samsung Galaxy Note – the first one – since it was released, and are now working quite actively with both the Galaxy Note 10.1 (the tablet-sized version of the device line) as well as the Samsung Galaxy S III. As it turns out, there might not be a need for yet another Samsung display size.

, Aug 17th 2012 Discuss [0]

It's nearly time for the next Samsung Unpacked event at IFA 2012 in Berlin, and another image has been leaked showing what they plan on revealing: the Galaxy Note 2. Rather legitimate looking images of the device have been shown today by Daniel UY, a self-proclaimed Samsung addict and rather talented mock-up artist. While it does appear that a real photo of the device has been "leaked" (per our post earlier today), we've now got confirmation from the original artist himself that his own talents have been spread without his consent. Archos G10 Android tablet brings on teaser for IFA

, Aug 2nd 2012 Discuss [0]

This week the folks at Archos have previewed their next-generation Android tablet for use with a special keyboard dock and what's undoubtedly an ultra-powerful multi-core processor. What sets this device aside from the competition here in its very unrevealed state is the fact that it does not pull up from its included keyboard dock as a notebook would, but rather sits in the dock separately like we've seen happen with the iPad's Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover. With a note that suggest the Archos G10, as it's called, will be out in 3 weeks, we must assume that we'll see it at IFA 2012 in Berlin. Read The Full Story
