Panasonic 4K tablet teased as world’s thinnest and lightest with 20-inch panel

In the days before the official start of the Berlin-based technology conference known as IFA 2013, Panasonic is aiming to stir up some excitement with word of a 20-inch 4K tablet. This device does not seem to be the sort of device that Panasonic will be releasing any time soon, acting as part of a series of presentations titled "A Better Life, A Better World", showing off what the company is capable of now in products designed for tomorrow. This device will be one part of a series of product categories Panasonic will be aiming to demonstrate their power in - Digital AVC, Appliances, and Enterprise Solutions also included.

Sony Xperia Z1 Honami press images leak in full

Leaks dealing with the Sony Honami have been plentiful. And thankfully, more recently we began seeing some teasing come direct from Sony as well. Sony will be announcing the Honami during IFA and the handset is expected to arrive as the Xperia Z1. While Sony has yet to confirm the full set of specs, we have seen just about everything leak and as of today it looks like the official press images have surfaced by way of an unnamed Asian retailer. Though we've seen the Sony "Lens Camera" devices appear connected to smartphones before, today a set of press photos suggests that the user might be able to use these devices without a companion smart unit at all. Where before we'd assumed that it was the smartphone - or tablet - that allowed a Sony Lens Camera to be controlled, today a set of photos that very much appear to be press-quality (aka real from Sony, more than likely) show a couple of users working with these devices without being physically attached to the smartphone in hand.

Samsung has dropped their latest IFA 2013 related teaser video. This one is on the shorter side and is offering a look at the secrets of Samsung technology. While these secrets are clearly made up for the video, it does appear as if Samsung will be able to capture some attention using this one. Of course, we suspect many are looking forward till the official Samsung announcement, which is happening on September 4.

LG has unveiled one of the most interesting looking TVs I've seen a long time at IFA 2013. The TV is a 55-inch OLED set called the Gallery OLED TV 55EA8800. This TV certainly isn't the first OLED set we've seen from LG, but it is the first to have the cool picture frame design. The screen features a very slim bezel and is mounted inside of what appears to be a picture frame.
