Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 for IFA 2011 in a Bit More Detail

The team at Samsung blew the top off of the Android world back in November of 2010 when the released the first real Android tablet effort across the world - what the tech world's next big convention IFA 2011 may hold is the next generation of this very model with an added 0.7-inches and a Super AMOLED display. As we know from leaked details contained in Samsung's own official "Unpacked" app for IFA in Berlin, they certainly will be releasing what's called the Galaxy Tab 7.7. Aside a "Galaxy Note" device that'll likely have something to do with a stylus for mobile devices and the "Wave 3," a Bada device with a 4-inch Super AMOLED display,, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 would be the second reported upgrade to a device already out on the market with slightly lesser specifications.

Remember those videos we showed you a few days ago displaying what Samsung was teasing as their next BIG thing, this next big thing coming out at their IFA 2011 "Samsung Unpacked" and appearing very much to be an upgrade of the Samsung Galaxy S II? Turns out that's more than likely the truth, as SammyHub say's they've "confirmed" with Samsung that IFA 2011 will play host to a 1.5 GHz dual-core Samsung Galaxy S II with LTE capabilities and a lovely new form factor.

Samsung Unpacked at IFA 2011 Trailer 2 Released [Video]

Samsung Unpacked at IFA 2011 Trailer 2 Released [Video]

While we were pretty darn sure the first (leaked) video for Samsung's upcoming "Unpacked II" event, the second in a line of Unpacked events they're hosting this year at tech events around the world, this second (or first, depending on how you look at it) trailer has us guessing again. A calm summer blue sky, blurry trees, sunlight, some waves pushing in from the sea, an odd bit of metal and plastic connected at the seams -- looking like a weather vane quite possible, a slow moving girl with hair blowing in the wind, a slow moving boy with no shirt on and also some hair blowing in the wind, that same weather vane again, waves, and the phrase "Sketches of Your Desire."

Samsung Unpacked Teaser Hints at Galaxy S II Upgrade [Update: VIDEO]

What we've been lucky enough to get a glimpse of today is a teaser video for Samsung's "Unpacked" event at IFA 2011 in Berlin. The video at this very moment appears to have been switched back to Private, but what we've seen is essentially a new version of the Samsung Galaxy S II "light" videos which incidentally revealed to us our very first look at the Galaxy S II back in February. What we're basically betting the farm on here is that this is a slightly updated version of the Samsung Galaxy S II that's able to work with 4G LTE bands.

Greedy TVs put on notice

Whether you're convinced by 3D or not, buying into the HDTV market has never been cheaper. Retailers are slashing sticker prices across the board - you can grab a 32-inch LCD online for well under $300 - but soon those stickers are going to become more complex as longer-term costs come into focus. Consumers may not realize it, but a huge chunk of what an HDTV costs them isn't just the initial purchase price, but the electricity that set sucks down.

Hannspree SN10T1 tablet hands-on [Video]

Hannspree's Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet, the SN10T3, isn't expected to hit the market until Q3 2011, but the company had the freshly-released SN10T1 on show here at IFA 2011 today. Based around a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 touchscreen and NVIDIA's Tegra 2 processor, the slate may run Android 2.2 Froyo but it's well hidden under a custom UI. Still, that decision has left the SN10T1 missing a few key features which may take some of the shine off of its low price tag.

Samsung Smart TV live streaming to Galaxy Tab hands-on [Video]
