Remember that dual-format player that Samsung announced last month? They were showing it off at IFA 2007 and Vincent managed to snag a shot of it. Unfortunately there’s no new info on the BD-UP5000, it’s still slated for a holiday season release for around $1,050.

Have you ever wondered if your monitor was actually watching you? If so, you’re probably just paranoid. However, Samsung recently unveiled their newest SyncMaster 225UW monitor with a built-in webcam and headphone jack.
DVRs have almost become commonplace in most households. I personally don’t know if I could watch TV without one ever again. I hate flipping through channels to find something good, and I especially hate watching really bad commercials. Since many people are using DVRs, why not just integrate that function into your TV? That’s exactly what LG is thinking.
Sansung was showing off their latest digital camcorder at the show today. The new VP-HMX10A is good looking, and won’t take up too much space in your camera bag.
iRiver has announced the release of their new B20 PMP. The new player features a 2.4-inch screen and supports many of the popular audio and video formats as well as FM radio.
The B20 will have internal storage of either 1, 2 or 4GB and you’ll be able to add your own SD card for additional storage. You’ll get up to 27 hours of battery life out of it when listening to audio files.
The problem with all of your portable gadgets is that the battery always dies when it’s least convenient. Philips has announced a new product that hopes to eliminate this issue.
While Sony can’t beat the sub-$200 price of the latest HD DVD player, they have announced the launch of two new Blu-ray players with a nice surprise for those in Europe.
Remember when Philips launched their Ambilight TVs? It seems like it wasn’t that long ago, but apparently Ambilight is on its way out the door to be replaced by Aurea.
