The beauties at GEAR4 were tired of juggling iPod and ringing cellphone, trying to mute their music before the voicemail kicked in, and so they developed the BluEye remote – a combination iPod remote control and Bluetooth headset.  Winner of a MacWorld 2007 best accessory award in late June, the BluEye not only means you can have one headset rather than two, but it turns your iPod into a Caller ID unit.

You might not be able to fold the corner down (not, at least, without voiding your warranty) but PVI’s flexible e-Paper is the closest thing yet to a mass-produced replacement for traditional paper.  Vincent caught up with them at IFA 2007 today and managed to score an exclusive video demo; make sure to check out the rest of the footage and exclusive photos after the cut!

With resident SlashGear writer Scott’s obsession for Guitar Hero, I fully expect him to wet himself on seeing Behringer’s new USB guitar range, launched at IFA 2007.  Since music recording and editing has increasingly gone from the professional studio filled with racks of hardware and into instead the humble laptop, one of the last outstays has been recording live instruments; now, Behringer has made it as straightforward as plugging your guitar into a free USB port.

It’s the job of fate to make sure that, when you really need to call someone, your cellphone battery has died.  The people at Sunload obviously got fed up of this, and have stuck a triumphant two fingers up at fate with their solar-panel equipped bags.  Vincent caught up with them at IFA 2007 and got a tour of the latest range; check out the exclusive SlashGear video after the cut.

Netgear introduced a little industrial chic to their Network Attached Storage (NAS) range at IFA 2007 with the ReadyNAS NV+; up to 2TB of X-RAID protected backup, in the shape of a hot-swappable quad-caddy drive.

At their IFA 2007 Press Conference Creative pretty much said “iPod who?” as all eyes were on their credit-card sized ZEN PMP.  The tiny device – which measures just 55 x 83 x 12mm – is easily Creative’s best mobile device to date, with a 2.5-inch, 16.7-million-colours screen, a choice of 4, 8 or 16GB of internal memory (expandable via an SD/SDHC slot) and support for MP3, AAC (unprotected), WMA, WMV, MPEG-4, DivX and XviD files.

Remember that cool DisplayLink technology that we told you about a while back? Well, DisplayLink has teamed up with LG to release the first DisplayLink-compatible widescreen monitor in the European market.

Back in February we showed you exclusive photos of what at the time looked to be an LG Prada handset running Windows Mobile 6; well, at IFA 2007 LG unveiled just that – it’s called the KS20 and it’s pretty much the answer to everyone who wanted the style of the Prada but with the power of a full smartphone. Vincent has shot some exclusive video footage of the KS20 – which is rocking HSDPA high-speed cellular broadband, dual-cameras for video conferencing and full internet access – and as you can see they’ve adapted the WM6 OS to take on board some of the Prada’s UI niceness.

It may have a daft name, but the spec list for the LG “Viewty” KU990 is nothing if not impressive. Vincent managed to score some exclusive footage of the handset – think Prada phone on the sort of steroids supermodels only dream of – at IFA 2007.

Satnav seems to be high on the agenda at IFA 2007, with the major players flaunting their latest wares.  TomTom arguably sets the standard, but one company European company still trying to get its foot in the door is Route 66.  Vincent stopped by their booth and shot some footage of the new MAXI and MINI units, the former with a 4.3-inch widescreen and the latter a 3.5-inch standard aspect screen, complete with Lonely Planet guides, MP3 player and photo viewer.
