You know that robotic guitar that Gibson rolled out last year that could auto tune itself to a number of different scales and were programmable to any custom tuning you required? It was like the most badass guitar ever, well they are making a new version that will be more widely available, since getting your hands on one of the originals was nigh impossible.
Alright, so, first there were talks of Samsung dropping a new dual format player before the end of the year. Then there were rumors that the same player wouldn’t make it out the door before next year.
Now there are rumors that its back on schedule for mid-december (next week). And, according to Dealerscope, who apparently received the word from on high (Samsung), the player is actually shipping to retailers now, and should be available by the original mid-December target date.
Ken Kettenbeil believes that the wave of our automotive future will be the Smart Car. Mr. Kettenbeil is a spokesman for Smart USA, a smart car manufacturer, who has received 30,000 reservation for their tiny transports.
If cars were like hotels, this would be the 5 star spa attached to a 5 star hotel, the one you could feel good about going to. Not only does it look fairly good, but it’s a hybrid.
Now why is it worth a 5-star rating? Well, the heated seats, oxygen-level conditioner, pinpoint humidifier, and green grass growing just inside the windshield to prevent UV rays from affecting the passengers are all a really good start.
Everything is going down the drain; hybrid is the catchphrase of the decade. Proof is in the pudding, and there is now a hybrid camcorder, it reords to either a DVD or any portion of the 4GB of flash that’s on board.
There is even a bigger touch-screen on this thing than some other portable devices where the touch screen is a major selling point, 2.7 inches of touch-sensitive goodness to be exact. This beauty popped up at the Korean version of CES, called KES, go figure.
Hybrid hard drives from Seagate are all the new rage. So you can’t afford an SSD drive for your laptop and the power loss from a traditional HDD is killing your battery life, what can you do?
Well Seagate has come up with a compromise, a hard drive that has some flash storage but the large majority of the storage is on a standard HDD. I think they could do a slight better job by adding about 4GB of high speed flash storage to a drive and allowing it to be addressed as a separate drive so you can install your OS on it, use it for ReadyBoost, or just assign it as the page file, but that’s just me.
Whether they be Hybrids that run on electric in the city, all electric vehicles, or fuel cell vehicles they are all nearly silent or completely silent when driving in the inner-city. The blind people are pissed, and a little scared.
For the past god knows how long blind people have gotten by walking through the city with use of the heightened sense of sound so they can hear the cars driving by with their fairly audible motors and can avoid being hit. These days its gotten a lot harder with the large number of hybrid vehicles, most of which run only on the silent electric motor when going city speeds, and then there are all electric vehicles that are growing more and more popular that are completely silent.
