In a bit of a change-up from past fees from notable console-selling brands, the Sony PlayStation 4 has been revealed this week to be coming without fees for online chat or third-party app streaming for apps such as Hulu and Netflix. This news came aside reassurance that a $50-a-year PlayStation Plus subscription would have a big of a flip in which services it offered. A PlayStation Plus subscription brings a user free online multiplayer - users will not be able to play multiplayer online without this subscription unless the games they are playing are also free-to-play.

DirecTV will buy Hulu in a roughly billion-dollar deal, it's reported, with the acquisition in "very advanced stages" according to insiders familiar with the deal. Hulu reportedly receives 3 bids over $1bn

Hulu has been reportedly entertaining bids for some weeks now, with Yahoo! having been the latest company to hit the rumor mill. Various prices have been tossed around, such as the $800 million Yahoo is said to have bid for the video service, but none of them have reached the level of three alleged bids leaked by unnamed sources: $1 billion. While two of the bids were from companies unknown, one is said to be from Directv.
