TiVo fighting DirecTV for Hulu analysts claim

TiVo is tipped to be among the potential suitors for Hulu, with the DVR company said to be a rival to DirecTV who, in reports late last week, was described as in "very advanced stages" to acquire the on-demand service. The suggestion, from market intelligence firm StreetAccount, described TiVo's recent share price bump as on "follow-through from speculation on a Hulu acquisition", Zatz Not Funny reports. Hulu Plus comes to Windows Phone 8

Hulu is expanding its mobile offerings by releasing their Hulu Plus app on Windows Phone 8, which is available now for download. The company said that 1 million Hulu Plus subscribers came on board this quarter, surpassing 4 million subscribers total. Warner Bros. has decided to join in on the saturated video-streaming marketing by offering its own subscription-based video streaming service. Warner Bros. service is extremely distinctive from the likes of Netflix and Hulu Plus however. Apparently today is William Shatner's birthday, and he turns 82. To celebrate, Hulu is making its entire Star Trek catalog free for everyone. Microsoft is unlocking two of the most popular video-streaming services on Xbox Live this weekend. Xbox Live Silver members will be able to access Netflix without having to pay for a Xbox Live Gold membership. Hulu looks back on 2012, closes the year with $695 million in revenue
