The S740 smartphone is a distant cousin of the HTC Diamond, featuring a similar sleek front and faceted back along with a similar feature set. Unlike the Diamond, the S740 does not sport a touchscreen and powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard.
An engineering drawing of T-Mobile’s G1, the upcoming HTC Dream smartphone running Google’s Android mobile platform, has emerged, confirming some of the details that so far have been merely rumors. As you can see in the annotated diagram below, the G1 will measure approximately 16.35mm thick; that’s around 4mm thicker than the iPhone 3G.
No one knows if this image is real, a phony or simply a mock up, but we may very well be getting our first non-blurry look at the HTC Dream. And one thing to note–this one’s in black.

Details are scant right now, but a video was sent to EverythingDream purporting to be HTCs upcoming Dream cellphone, running Google’s Android OS. The clip, which you can see after the cut, demonstrates a device with a side-sliding display that reveals a full QWERTY keyboard.

I had an opportunity to check out the HTC Touch Pro aka Raphael smartphone at an informal meet up with HTC earlier today. According to HTC, the Touch Pro is the company’s Touch Diamond (but more) and by more it is beefier in thickness due to a slide up 5-row QWERTY keyboard.
