Nokia begins legal battle with HTC for high-amplitude mic

Nokia has been granted an injunction by the Amsterdam district court regarding the high-amplitude microphones that HTC's new flagship smartphone, the HTC One, uses. According to Nokia, the HTC One uses the same microphone that's used inside of Nokia's Lumia smartphone line-up. Nokia provides a picture that shows that the microphone inside of the HTC One is the same microphone used in the Nokia Lumia 720. Read The Full Story

HTC One now available on AT&T and T-Mobile

As expected, the HTC One is now free-for-all. Those on AT&T and T-Mobile can grab the new device starting today either online or at a handful of retail stores, including Best Buy, Radio Shack, Walmart, Sam’s Club, Target, Costco, and Car Toys. HTC Desire L surfaces in Taiwan

HTC has gone official with a new Android-powered smartphone in Taiwan called the Desire L. The smartphone offers modest specifications, which would seem to indicate that it will be a budget offering. Verizon Teases GALAXY S 4 & HTC One Possibilities for CTIA [UPDATED]

Today Verizon has sent out a "save the date" announcement for this year's Spring CTIA event in Las Vegas, Nevada. This announcement aligns quite well with the releases of both the HTC One and the Samsung GALAXY S 4, especially given the slightly-later reveals of high-end devices through Verizon over the past year. The Power Matters Alliance has just received a huge increase in support from several, major businesses. HTC, LG, and Samsung, 3 of the most biggest smartphone manufacturers in the world, have joined the PAM, and will be integrating its wireless charging technology in their future devices. Samsung probe underway in Taiwan over allegations of smear campaign against HTC

Word surfaced on Monday that authorities in Taiwan have launched an investigation into technology firm Samsung. The allegation in the case is that Samsung hired students to post malicious comments about rival HTC online. T-Mobile leaks suggest HTC One will be available on April 24th

A leak from T-Mobile's planogram, as well as a leaked memo guide for employees, points to a April 24th release date for T-Mobile's HTC One. The leaks were discovered by TmoNews, and they suggest that not all T-Mobile stores will be carrying the HTC One during launch day, meaning there will be many disappointed and aggravated customers.
