AT&T: Moto X camera update today, HTC One Android 4.3 next week

Two flagship Android phones on AT&T are in line for some software attention, beginning with the carrier pushing out the camera and touchless controls update to the Moto X from today. The firmware, which was released to T-Mobile Moto X owners back in September, improves auto-white balance and color accuracy, as well as exposure particularly in low-light situations. Meanwhile, there's a much-anticipated update to the HTC One on AT&T's horizon, too.

Galaxy Note 3 not the only one free of “benchmark shenanigans” accusations [UPDATE]

As the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 appears on US-shores we've seen talk of not quite on-the-level benchmark boosting by the likes of what, at first, would seem to be the manufacturer of the smartphone. This report originates with Ars Technica where they suggest that the smoking gun is the fact that this smartphone brings up four full-powered CPU cores whenever it's asked to open any one of several big-name benchmarking apps. What we've found is that this situation is not - by any means - limited to Samsung's hardware.

We're big fans of leaked smartphone photographs around here and today a new leak has surfaced showing off an unannounced HTC smartphone. The photographs aren't of the complete device itself, but rather the photos are of the front panel for the HTC Butterfly 2. The original HTC Butterfly launched last year and sold as the Droid DNA in the US.

The HTC One Max has appeared in a smorgasbord of leaks, so much so that there's not much about it that hasn't been covered in some way or the other.
