Seldom has the name of a phone been so obviously related to its proposition as with the HTC Sensation XL. Bearing a supersized 4.7-inch touchscreen along with Beats Audio, this “extra large” Android smartphone should arguably be the pinnacle of HTC’s multimedia range. Clove is saying the Sensation XL will arrive - unlocked and SIM-free - come October 24, though so far pricing is unconfirmed.

HTC has announced its latest Android smartphone, the HTC Sensation XL, and we grabbed hands-on time with the first of the company’s phones to be designed with Beats Audio from the ground up. Slotting in alongside the Sensation XE, but packing 4.7-inch WVGA display, 1.5GHz single-core processor and 16GB of integrated storage, the Sensation XL is, HTC is resolute, a multimedia maven first and foremost.
