The FCC has released documents leading mobile sleuths to ponder the next Verizon HTC release in a DROID Incredible with 4G LTE. This device would be the next in a line of ultra-successful DROID-branded HTC units last seen in the HTC Incredible 2 and used by none other than your humble narrator and Android Community's Cory Gunther as we traversed the landscape at last month's MWC 2012 in Barcelona. This newest device has a slightly different set of connectivity bands available but will likely bump up the masses to the new generation with its dual-core processor and AMOLED display.

Gingerbread for HTC Incredible S and Desire HD goes OTA today
HTC has begun updating two of its more recent Android handsets to 2.3 Gingerbread, confirming that the OTA update for the HTC Desire HD and the HTC Incredible S is now live. Confirmed on HTC's support page, Mobile Bulgaria spotted, the update will be flagged up by the two smartphones in the Android notification bar, and then delivered via WiFi or 3G.

HTC Incredible S Review
The first of HTC’s new range from Mobile World Congress last month, and tracing a direct line back to a handset almost 12 months old, the HTC Incredible S should on paper leave us cold. Packing neither the huge screen of the Touch HD, nor running the latest OS like the imminent Desire S, it’s a single-core phone in what’s fast shaping up to be a dual-core world. Why should handsets only come in black or white? Its true that your protective case will ultimately usurp whatever color your handset is, but that's not stopping HTC from possibly pushing out a lovely red version of their HTC Incredible S. A Danish electronics retailer showed off a new SKU with the red hot image below.

HTC Desire HD, Desire Z, Desire and Incredible S Gingerbread update in Q2
HTC has confirmed its next batch of Android updates, with Android Honeycomb coming through the pipe for some of the most popular devices of the past few months. An HTC spokesperson told SlashGear that "We are excited to announce that the Desire HD, Desire Z, Desire and Incredible S will receive the Gingerbread update in Q2."

Recap Of New HTC Smartphones, Tablet, and Announcements From MWC 2011
We had quite a rush of HTC news live from MWC 2011 this morning, so here’s a recap in case you didn’t catch everything. Our very own Chris Davies got plenty of hands-on time with the new product line up from HTC including the Incredible S, Wildfire S, Desire S, Chacha, and Salsa smartphones, as well as the Flyer tablet. Other HTC announcements included an updated version of their HTC Sense, a new video chat app, new support for OnLive cloud gaming service, and their partnership with Qualcomm to develop multi-core devices.

HTC Incredible S hands-on [Video]
Of all of HTC's new devices at MWC 2011, the handset we're least convinced with is the HTC Incredible S. The company's "inside-out" style reminds us of a plastic pool former, and while it certainly feels unusual in the hand, we're not the biggest fans.

HTC has shown off a brief demo of its home-grown video chat app for Android, as loaded onto the HTC Desire S and the HTC Incredible S. It uses the new smartphones front-facing VGA-resolution cameras, or the HTC Flyer's 1.3-megapixel camera.

HTC Incredible S official
HTC’s Verizon DROID Incredible has spawned a European version, the HTC Incredible S, now packing a GSM radio into its unusually angular casing. HTC describes the style as “inside out” design, though what’s really on the inside is a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 single-core processor. Unusually, despite HTC claiming that the Incredible S will be positioned as an Android enthusiast’s device, it will actually launch with 2.2 Froyo.
