The next generation in HTC 3D devices has been spotted in a video promoting the design process behind yesterday's newly announced HTC Evo 4G LTE. This design video has several industrial designers, brainstormers, and generally awesome minds working for HTC explaining the philosophy behind HTC's 2012 lineup of devices, and lo and behold, what's that just a few minutes into the video? HTC Bootloader Situation Update: Devices Continue Shipping Locked, Unlock Comes from Web

Wednesday of this week, HTC sent out a new update on the situation they've had brewing for some weeks, that being one where fans of the devices have demanded handsets have unlocked boot loaders so that they might root and hack them for custom modifications. HTC responded some time ago to the call to action by indeed responding with a declaration that they would, indeed, be unlocking their devices come this Summer and Autumn. In their most recent update, HTC notes that there have been many questions as to why their most recent devices still come locked, responding with updates on how and when each device would be unlocked and what users would have to do to make it happen. HTC EVO 3D UK launch delayed until September

HTC has confirmed to SlashGear that its European version of the EVO 3D will arrive in the UK in September 2011, two months after initially expected. No reason for the smartphone's delay was available, though it fits in well given UK carrier Vodafone announced earlier this week that it no longer planned to range the glasses-free 3D smartphone. HTC Chief Innovation Officer Horace Luke Resigns for Personal Reasons

It was let known today that on the date of April 30th, 2011, HTC's Chief Innovation Officer Horace Luke resigned from the company for personal reasons. Luke had been with the company since November of 2006 at which time he had just left his position as Creative Director at Microsoft. At that time, HTC was little more than a newly emerging Taiwan-based smartphone vendor - now it's one of the most prominent names in the smartphone business worldwide, tending to both Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 platform and Google's mobile operating system Android. It takes everything you liked about the myTouch 4G and adds those few features we liked in the 3G slide and poof — we have the myTouch 4G Slide. HTC bootloader unlock starts August for Sensation and EVO 3D

HTC has announced that it will begin the process of unlocking the bootloaders on its Android phones from August, with the HTC Sensation first on the list. Having confirmed back in May that it was changing its policy on locked bootloaders for future handsets, HTC had been unclear on when – or even if – it would be updating existing devices to support the same third-party ROM flexibility. The news this weekend, however, makes devices like the Sensation and the EVO 3D far more appealing to advanced Android users.

HTC EVO 3D hits Europe in July

HTC has officially launched the HTC EVO 3D in Europe, with the 3D Android smartphone – which we reviewed in US form earlier this month – set to go on sale with HSPA+ GSM connectivity from July. The EVO 3D has a 4.3-inch glasses-free 3D display running at the same qHD 960 x 540 resolution as the HTC Sensation, along with a dual 5-megapixel camera array that can shoot stills and both 2D and 3D video at up to 720p HD resolution.
