The world of tech didn't come to a halt just because we needed to go out and vote, so in case you missed it, here's the big news from the day. We learned today that HTC and Verizon will be holding a press event on November 13, and it's there that we're expecting to get our first official introduction to the HTC DROID DNA. Speaking of HTC, the company gave us its earnings for October 2012 today, and they aren't looking all that great. Halo 4 officially launched today, but it isn't without its share of server problems, and physical Google Wallet cards have been confirmed on a Google support page.

Welcome to Friday evening everyone - the weekend is here at last, but before we dive in, it's time to recap the news. Today we heard that Microsoft might be testing out a smartphone of its own, which doesn't really surprise us considering that it just recently entered the tablet market. Apple's freshly rephrased "apology" to Samsung went live in UK newspapers today, and one analyst is expecting the iPad mini to top 1.5 million sales this weekend. Speaking of the iPad mini, we saw a drop test featuring the tiny slate today, and the tablet launched to shorter-than-normal lines for an Apple product.

HTC DROID DNA leaks as massive phablet for December

It's time for the ADR6435 Deluxe to pop up from HTC, a DROID device bringing on the greatness of the HTC J Butterfly here to the USA on Verizon's 4G LTE network. This device has the highest definition display on the planet at over 400 PPI and will be appearing in early December according to @evleaks, a notoriously accurate leaker of mobile device images and details. This device is HTC's answer to the phablet craze, that being the Samsung Galaxy Note and LG Intuition beasts that've been released over the past few months.
