HTC 7 Pro could be Verizon’s first WP7 phone

HTC's 7 Pro might be Verizon's first Windows Phone 7 device. The HTC 7 Pro is also known on Sprint's networks as the HTC Arrive. We reviewed the Arrive here recently. The possibility that this phone was imminently going to be a part of Verizon's stable was revealed when a gaming site that tracks and publicly displays the hits from various phone operating systems displayed some otherwise unknown model numbers. Sprint teases new phone on Feb 24: CDMA HTC 7 Pro finally arriving?

Looks like Sprint hasn't learnt its lesson. The carrier blew expectations out of proportion for the Kyocera Echo, delivering an awkward dual-display Android handset with seriously niche appeal, and it's headed in the same way with a new teaser campaign building up to Thursday, February 24. "What do you think the next new Sprint phone will be?" the carrier asked via its official Twitter account; our money is on the HTC 7 Pro.

HTC 7 Pro Heading to Europe in Early 2011

The announcement that Windows Phone 7, the new mobile Operating System from Microsoft, wouldn't be landing on any CDMA-based carriers until 2011 was a big blow for some, but there was a glimmer of hope at yesterday's Microsoft event, when HTC's 7 Pro made a quick, non-working appearance. The device was said to be heading to Sprint in the early part of 2011, but it looks like Sprint's grasp on the device won't be exclusive. It's been confirmed that the device will be landing in the UK and the rest of Europe in the first half of 2011, too.
