It feels like we've been waiting a long time for the HTC Touch Pro2 to arrive, though really it was only announced back in February at Mobile World Congress.  The flagship smartphone - which packs a 3.6-inch WVGA resistive touchscreen, 3G HSPA, WiFi b/g and a full QWERTY keyboard - is the second half of HTC's two-part Touch refresh, along with the Diamond2, and you can see our video unboxing after the cut.

BlackBerry Tour 9630 specs leak: Arrives in Canada mid-July

It looks, judging by these images, like someone has been faxing something they shouldn't have, but when the leak is a detailed spec-sheet for the BlackBerry Tour 9630 we won't quibble over it coming on thermal paper.  According to MobileSyrup's source, the Tour 9630 will arrive on Canadian carrier Bell in mid-July, bringing with it an HVGA 480 x 360 display, 3.2-megapixel autofocus camera with flash, quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE, 2100MHz UMTS/HSPA and 800/1900MHz EVDO Rev.A.

Pharos Traveler 137: AT&T and T-Mobile 3G

Whether the world (or, more accurately, the US) needs an unlocked Windows Mobile smartphone with the required band support for 7.2Mbps HSDPA and 2.1Mbps HSUPA on both AT&T and T-Mobile remains to be seen.  Nevertheless, Pharos believe that's just what network-hopping executives are looking for, hence the triband UMTS Traveler 137.

Acer F900 3G smartphone hits UK

Acer F900 3G smartphone hits UK

Acer's F900 smartphone - first announced back at Mobile World Congress in February - has finally launched.  Offering Windows Mobile 6.1, the F900 has a 3.8-inch WVGA touchscreen, HSDPA/HSUPA connectivity and Acer's new 2.0 User Interface on top of the Microsoft OS.

The F900 is shipped with Internet Explorer 6 with Adobe Flash Lite support, together with Acer's Easy Keyboard.  There's also a YouTube app, Google Maps and GPS.  Around the back, there's a 3-megapixel camera.

The Acer F900 is now available in the UK, unlocked, at £429 ($709).  No word on whether Acer will be offering upgrades to Windows Mobile 6.5 once the new OS reaches the market, but the fact that the F900 has a Windows-logo key (a feature of WM6.5 devices) rather than the traditional Home icon does suggest that owners will be able to update.

Novatel MiFi 2352 HSPA personal hotspot shipping June 20th

I confess, I've been hearing Vincent and Ewdi wax lyrical about the Verizon and Sprint versions of the MiFi portable personal hotspot, and going green with envy.  Happily we're finally hearing details regarding the GSM HSPA version of the device, the Novatel Wireless MiFi 2352, and while there's still no sign of European carrier confirmation it's already showing up at importer Mobilx.

Nokia E52: stellar battery life

Nokia E52: stellar battery life

Nokia have announced the E52, a S60 handset they're calling "voice optimized".  Boasting eight hours of talktime from a full charge, the Nokia E52 also has noise cancellation together with the email UI from the Nokia E75.  Of course, while the focus might be voice calls, Nokia couldn't help throwing in other modern-day niceties such as GPS and a 3.2-megapixel camera.

There's also a 2.4-inch QVGA display and access to the Nokia Ovi services, plus HSDPA and HSUPA for high-speed mobile data access.  It'll be available in silver and a rather sludgy brown.
