HTC Touch Diamond2 video unboxing

, Apr 24th 2009 Discuss [0]

When HTC launched the Touch Diamond2 at Mobile World Congress back in February, they made no bones about the fact that it incorporated the best of the original Touch Diamond and what lessons they’d learned from the Touch HD.  A bigger, 3.2-inch WVGA display than the previous Diamond, plus the latest iteration of TouchFLO 3D, and the HTC Touch Diamond2 will perhaps be the poster-child for Windows Mobile 6.1 smartphones until 6.5 launches.  Our Touch Diamond2 arrived today, and before we get to grips with this slick new smartphone we shot an unboxing video.

Samsung Tocco S8300 Ultra Edition review

, Apr 22nd 2009 Discuss [0]

The Samsung Tocco is a sleek slider/touchscreen combo feature phone that packs a ton of functionality into a small form factor. It’s stylish and nice to use, and the red color will draw attention from those around you (at least it did for me). The phone was enjoyable to use, and Samsung’s TouchWiz UI was implemented nicely. Most noticeable on this phone is AMOLED display, which shines beautifully in any light, even outside.

We're so used to seeing the spec list, press photos, leaked hands-on videos with pre-production samples and early reviews of new cellphones that it's something of a surprise that the LG Viewty II has remained so discrete.  So far it's just been a few snaps and a partial spec sheet to whet our anticipation; not bad, since according to Electricpig the touchscreen handset itself is set to hit Orange UK in June. MSI Wind U123, X-Slim X320 & X340 video demo

, Apr 2nd 2009 Discuss [0]

After MSI confirmed the US specs for their Wind U123 netbook and larger X-Slim X320 and X340 ultraportables yesterday, we were keen to spend some hands-on time with the slick notebooks.  Of the selection, the MSI X-Slim X340 is undoubtedly our favorite, but there’s plenty to recommend the others: how about 5.5hrs runtime from the 6-cell battery, or 8.5hrs from the 9-cell, on the Wind U123?
