HP ENVY 15 Hands on and unboxing

The ENVY series of laptops has defined HP’s high end for the last few years, and the trend continues with the newly remodeled ENVY 15. The high-powered series has become popular in the PC crowd thanks to lower and lower prices for some very respectable hardware. The last time we took a look at the ENVY series was the ENVY 17 3D nearly a year ago, and it left us quite impressed. HP sent over the ENVY 15 for us to check out, and initial observations are promising.

HP ENVY 17 3D Review

Welcome to a review of the biggest fattest HP 3D desktop replacement notebook you’ll ever come across. Not that it’s the biggest that’ll ever be made, but when you’ve got this thing sitting on your desk, you’ll wonder how you ever got along without such an abundance of screen real-estate on what the world, up until recently, was calling a laptop computer. This is the HP ENVY 17 3D, and not only does it have full 3D capabilities and a width bigger than your humble narrator’s torso, it’s got a screen so bright it makes the real world seem yellow.

HP ENVY 17 3D Laptop Hands-On and Unboxing

, Dec 14th 2010 Discuss [5]

As you might already know, we’ve already had our fingers on a ENVY 17 3D in a small way back in October and indeed the laptop IS now for sale from HP – and you know what that means – Review time! Today we received no less than the ENVY 17 3D laptop in the mail in a freezing cold box (I am in Minnesota, after all,) and couldn’t help but to release it from its boxy prison before it was even able to thaw all the way out (you’ll notice when I flip the machine upside down that you can see my frozen fingerprints all over it.) Take a look below!

HP ENVY 17 3D hands-on

, Oct 14th 2010 Discuss [2]

HPs ENVY range of laptops have always been eye-catching, but their latest ENVY 17 3D takes that up a step by packing 3D support too.  We caught up with the 17.3-inch Full HD notebook this week, and it’s certainly a beast of a machine: plenty of metal in the chassis, a quadcore Intel Core i7-720QM processor, 2TB of storage and a slot-loading Blu-ray drive.

HP Envy 17 3D, Envy 14 Beats Edition, Pavilion dm3 Break Cover

It's late, but the news never sleeps, right? That's what HP must be thinking, because they've just officially announced, by way of several press releases, a whole line of laptops. While it's plenty of devices we've actually heard of before in the past, the updates to the line-up are indeed noteworthy. Especially if you're a fan of high-profile audio sounds, and 3D. So, if you're curious to see what HP's got coming down the line, dig in past the break. Read The Full Story

HP ENVY 14 Review

The baby of HP’s second-generation ENVY premium notebook range has arrived on the SlashGear test bench, and we have to admit it’s a pretty appealing machine. Packing a 14.5-inch display, Intel Core i5 CPU and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 graphics, it may look a little like a MacBook Pro but happily HP has also carried over the solid build quality. Still, are good looks enough to ween users off their Apple addiction? Check out the full SlashGear review after the cut.

HP ENVY 14, ENVY 17 and Pavilion dm4 confirmed?

, Mar 26th 2010 Discuss [1]

We can't help it, we're picky; while the HP ENVY 13 and ENVY 15 are all well and good, we still want an ENVY 14 and ENVY 17 to slot into the range.  Rumors have circulated for some time now about just such machines, and some judicious digging over by the NotebookReview forum members has turned up a couple of support documents seemingly confirming the 14- and 17-inch variants. HP Envy 14 notebook tipped: ideal Core i5 candidate?

HP's Envy range promises MacBook style at mainstream prices, but is there a gap in-between the 13.1-inch Envy 13 and the 15-inch Envy 15?  HP seem to think so; according to a support page on the company's site there's an Envy 14 on the horizon, which we'd presume would offer a 14-inch display.
