This week HP has revealed the next generation in their Spectre line with the HP ENVY Spectre XP, a notebook with style and power to spare. This notebook works with Beats Audio, has a backlit keyboard, and has a lovely slim-bezel 13.3-inch display. The whole unit measures in at 14.5mm thin and weighs just 3.07 pounds, yet contains no less than the 3rd Generation Intel Core line of processors as well as a 128GB SSD.
Two new titans in the HP notebook range have been revealed with an amazing batch of features – bot the HP ENVY Sleekbook and the HP ENVY Ultrabook are here! These notebooks both come with Beats Audio, dual speakers, and a subwoofer for the highest quality sound. Both configurations also come with a soft-touch, slip resistant base that comes in either black or red and can be as thin as an amazing 19.8mm and less than 4 pounds light.
The HP ENVY 14 Spectre was easily one of the most promising ultrabooks we saw at CES 2012, and a few months of waiting hasn’t dampened our enthusiasm. The premium notebook combines high-end features and unique materials into a 14-inch body that’s distinct from just about everything on the market, which is something you couldn’t say for many of HP’s previous entries in the ENVY line. HP showed off its latest ultrabook and entry into the ENVY model at CES tonight. The ENVY 14 is a high-end style machine, ready for a night on the town or a low-key LAN party. HP has just dropped a teaser look at what may possibly be the company's new ultrabook in their Envy laptop lineup, dubbed the Spectre. From the likes of the video, it looks to be an extremely thin notebook with a completely flat-shaped lid, but unfortunately, not much else is shown, than the ultrathin, ultrabook-esque design. Pity that there isn't more to be revealed, but we're sure there will be more to come when CES rolls around this month in Las Vegas.

The ENVY series of laptops has defined HP’s high end for the last few years, and the trend continues with the newly remodeled ENVY 15. The high-powered series has become popular in the PC crowd thanks to lower and lower prices for some very respectable hardware. The last time we took a look at the ENVY series was the ENVY 17 3D nearly a year ago, and it left us quite impressed. HP sent over the ENVY 15 for us to check out, and initial observations are promising.

Not that it’s the biggest that’ll ever be made, but when you’ve got this thing sitting on your desk, you’ll wonder how you ever got along without such an abundance of screen real-estate on what the world, up until recently, was calling a laptop computer. This is the HP ENVY 17 3D, and not only does it have full 3D capabilities and a width bigger than your humble narrator’s torso, it’s got a screen so bright it makes the real world seem yellow.
As you might already know, we’ve already had our fingers on a ENVY 17 3D in a small way back in October and indeed the laptop IS now for sale from HP – and you know what that means – Review time! Today we received no less than the ENVY 17 3D laptop in the mail in a freezing cold box (I am in Minnesota, after all,) and couldn’t help but to release it from its boxy prison before it was even able to thaw all the way out (you’ll notice when I flip the machine upside down that you can see my frozen fingerprints all over it.) HPs ENVY range of laptops have always been eye-catching, but their latest ENVY 17 3D takes that up a step by packing 3D support too. The baby of HP’s second-generation ENVY premium notebook range has arrived on the SlashGear test bench, and we have to admit it’s a pretty appealing machine. Packing a 14.5-inch display, Intel Core i5 CPU and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 graphics, it may look a little like a MacBook Pro but happily HP has also carried over the solid build quality.
