HP TouchSmart 9300 Elite Business PC Hands-on [Video]

In an effort to give the press (and via the press, consumers) a better look at the inner workings of their PC business, specifically their Elite line of PCs, HP has invited us to what’s called the “HP Making of Elite Tour” which we’ve been enjoying throughout the first half of this week. What we did not expect but certainly welcome is a look at some totally complete PCs, here an HP TouchSmart 9300 Elite Business PC, an all-in-one computer that we first saw mention of back in February. WIth its deep-tilting full touch display, it seems custom made for Windows 8, an OS we know to be made to reflect the touch-based future of PCs. Will the 9300 add up?

HP Making of Elite Tour kicks off with PC Spin-Off reassurance [Video]

This week we’ve been invited by HP to participate in their very first Making of Elite Tour. This tour is one where we get to see many moments in the process between HP creating a device in their Elite line and getting it ready for store shelves. That said, it was pretty obvious right off the bat what the first question on everybody’s mind would be given the recent news HP had for the world regarding the very sector of HP that we were about to dive into. Public Relations head Mike Hockey knew the situation and gave us a once-over before the questions were even asked.

HP unveils thin new Elite L2201x 21.5-inch LCD

HP has all sorts of products that bear its brand name from computers to display and smartphones. The company is most known as the world's largest shipper of computers, but it has a goodly share of the LCD market too for screens to go along with desktops. HP has unveiled its latest desktop display called the HP Elite L2201x. The screen is very thin and has a kickstand prop rather than the typical base we are used to seeing on computer screens. HP EliteBook and ProBook business notebooks launch: up to 32hrs battery

HP has outed a range of updated business notebooks, including two all-metal EliteBooks, and multiple ProBooks spanning various hardware configurations. The HP EliteBook 8460p and 8560p wrap MIL-STD 810G military-standard casings around a choice of Intel Core i7 quad-core and Core i7, i5 and i3 dual-core processors, up to 32hrs of battery life, and 14- and 15.6-inch displays respectively. HP TouchSmart 610 and 9300 Elite all-in-ones get deep-tilting desk stand

HP has outed a pair of new TouchSmart all-in-one PCs, the HP TouchSmart 610 Consumer PC and HP TouchSmart 9300 Elite Business PC, each of which feature a new reclining hinge that allows them to tilt back by up to 60-degrees for easier desktop use. Each new TouchSmart has a 23-inch LED-backlit HD display (the 610 gets Beats audio, too), and HP reckons that, because of the flexible mount, they'll be a hit with families wanting to share multimedia and with businesses wanting to interact with customers on the same display. HP EliteBook 8740w and Z200, Z400, Z600 & Z800 workstations get Intel CPU updates

HP have updated their workstation range, and of the new tower, SFF and notebook models perhaps the most interesting is the HP EliteBook 8740w.  Toting Intel's latest Core i7 Extreme processors, up to 16GB of DDR3 memory and a 17-inch LED-backlit display running at either WXGA+ or WUXGA, the 8740w can be spec'd with either ATI FirePro M7820 1GB graphics, NVIDIA Quadro FX 3800M 1GB graphics or Quadro FX 2800M 1GB graphics. HP EliteBook 2740p multitouch tablet hands-on

HP have announced the EliteBook 2740p, a 12.1-inch ultrathin convertible tablet which supports multitouch together with pen input.  Inside there are Intel’s latest Core i7 and Core i5 processors, along with up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, Intel HD graphics and a choice of up to 320GB HDD or 160GB SSD.  Check out more details and some hands-on first-impressions after the cut.

HP EliteBook 2540p rugged ultraportable hands-on

HP have announced their lightest EliteBook ultraportable yet, the HP EliteBook 2540p, and while it may only tip the scales at 3.3lbs it’s still got the same MIL-STD 810G vibration, dust, humidity, altitude and temperature resilience of the 2740p tablet.  Like its swivel-screen sibling, the EliteBook 2540p has a choice of Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 processors along with up to 8GB of DDR3 memory and various HDD/SSD storage options.  Check out more details plus some hands-on first impressions after the cut.

HP Pavilion Elite HPE desktops plus HP Compaq L2105tm multitouch LCD arrive

Thinking of a new Windows 7 desktop with multitouch?  HP may have just the setup; they've announced their latest desktop PC, the HP Pavilion Elite HPE, along with a new, multitouch-capable 21.5-inch LCD, the HP Compaq L2105tm, at CES 2010.  The Pavilion Elite HPE will be available with various Intel Core 2 Quad, Core i7 and AMD Phenom II processors, along with up to 1TB of storage, NVIDIA or ATI graphics and Windows 7.
