Acura NSX Concept channels Honda heritage with hybrid power

The much-loved Honda NSX has been reborn as the Acura NSX Concept, a Sport Hybrid all-wheel-drive tease of a new sports car Acura says we can expect on the market in around three years time. Pairing a mid-mounted V6 engine and two electric motors in a lightweight shell, the Acura NSX Concept uses a new bilateral torque adjustable control system that can instantly generate negative or positive torque to the front wheels while cornering. Honda Acura NSX concept teased for 2012 Detroit Auto Show

The team at Honda has announced that they will reveal a new Acura NSX concept at next year's Detroit Auto Show, this re-starting the line that was discontinued in 2005 with the original NSX. While details remain scant on the automobile, Honda did note that it would be showing the "styling direction for the next generation of Acura's super sports car." New Acura NSX to debut at Detroit Auto Show

Honda hasn’t allowed anyone to snap pictures of the coming rebirth of the legendary Acura NSX sports car. That new sports car is set to debut at the Detroit auto show next month. Honda, Toyota and BMW reveal green car plans

Green transportation is high on the agenda for Honda, Toyota and BMW, with all three companies announcing earth-friendly engine plans at the Toyko Motor Show this week. Toyota and BMW revealed an engine-sharing deal that will see BMW-made 1.6 liter and 2.0 liter diesel engines slotted into Toyota cars on sale in Europe from 2014, as well as joint research into future motor technologies. Meanwhile, Honda previewed its new "Earth Dreams Technology" range of engines, kicking off with a 1.6 liter diesel that it claims is the first step to it becoming top dog in fuel economy within three years time. Honda will be occupying the largest booth at next month's Tokyo Motor Show and it's got plenty of production and concept vehicles to fill up all that space. The company released a preview of its entire lineup today, which includes several automobiles and motorocycles as well as home power generation technology. ASIMO goes autonomous: Honda robot divorces operator

Honda's ASIMO robot has been given a new round of upgrades, slimming down and gaining the ability to autonomously monitor and interact with its environment, out of the control of a human operator. Advanced balancing - including quick reactions when ASIMO senses it's falling - together with an array of sensors that track physical objects and moving people, and predictive response algorithms that can independently decide on the next course of action all come together and shift the robot another step closer to integrating into a public environment.
