Acer outs H9500 DLP home theater video projector

The last time we talked about a new projector from Acer was back in February when the P5403 debuted. Acer is back with another new projector today called the H9500. The projector is suitable for use in your home theater and has full HD resolution with a 16:9 native aspect ratio. Acer packs the projector with tech to improve image quality. It has DynamicBlack to fine tune each scene for optimal black levels without reducing the brightness of the images.

Onkyo Announces Six New Offerings

Onkyo just announced their new line of products including four home theater in a box kits (HTiB), a new mid-line receiver, and a 3D Blu-Ray player. None of them have any code names or anything, they all are listed only by their model numbers. Cool. The new HTiB's are the HHT-S6400, HT-S7400, HT-S8400, and HT-S9400THX. The receiver is the TX-NR709, and the 3D Blu-Ray player is the BD-SP309.

Philips outs new home theater gear at CES

Philips is on hand at CES and it has unveiled a new line of HD gear that geek will get excited about. The new gear includes the 4000, 5000, and 6000 series LCD HDTVs, a number of Blu-ray players, and other home theater gear. The 4000 series of LED backlit HDTVs are offered in 40", 46", and 55" screens with MediaConnect and NetTV for steaming wireless content to the big screen from the web. The sets will ship in May at $749 to $1499. Smaller screen versions at 22" and 32" will ship this month for $249.99 and $449.99.
