SlashGear stopped by new Bluetooth start-up Nitrox today to find out what they company had planned with their first range of cellphone accessories, the X835 car-kit and X735 stereo hands-free kit. The X735, shown here, is already a RED DOT design winner, a compact Bluetooth clip with a monochrome OLED display, stereo A2DP support and a standard 3.5mm headphones jack.
Sleek Audio’s CT6 custom earphones have always been unique – after all, they manufacture them to molds taken from each buyer’s ear-canals – but now they’ve added another degree of customization for those who like to stand out. The Sleek Audio CT6 Aura are the same custom-made hypoallergenic earbuds, but now laced with phosphoresce that means they glow in the dark.
Bluetooth headsets have never been more popular than they are now. The reason for this is that many states have hands free laws on the books that make it a requirement to use a hands free device of some sort. Sound ID has announced its new 400 Bluetooth headset that offers some unique features.
It’s been a while since we played with Jabra’s HALO Bluetooth stereo headset – all the way back at CTIA in April, in fact – but it’s only now that the HALO is ready to hit North American shelves. Jabra tell us that the 3oz, foldable headset should be in US Best Buy stores this week, with an MRSP of $129.

Logitech have unveiled a new headset and mouse, each intended for gamers. The Logitech G-Series Gaming Mouse G500 takes the G5 mouse and throws in on-the-fly adjustable accuracy up to 5,700dpi, a more comfortable shape and a weight-adjustable body for improved hand-feel. It also has a “battle finish” which Logitech reckon will put you in the right frame of mind for a bout of online gaming.
While we deemed the HTC Touch Pro2’s hardware keyboard perhaps the best to be had on a Windows Mobile smartphone right now, we saved the usual ire for the handset’s lack of a 3.5mm headphones socket. That’s all changed, however, for the Canadian Telus version; going by MobileSyrup’s video, HTC have shuffled over the ExtUSB port and squeezed in a 3.5mm jack.

Apple have applied for a patent whereby your headphones would act as a settings transfer system to bridge your new and old devices. Named “Data store and enhanced features for headset of portable media device”, the application describes a set of headphones that would include an amount of flash memory; that would be used to backup speed-dials, equalizer settings, playlists, network connections and other preferences from your existing PMP or cellphone.
Jabra have announced two new wireless headset systems aimed more at deskbound workers wanting to cut their phone cords than true mobile users. The Jabra GO 6400 (shown here) and PRO 9400 use Bluetooth and DECT respectively, and come complete with a base station with an integrated 2.4-inch capacitive touchscreen display.
Plantronics Voyager PRO Bluetooth headset was good enough to make even Vincent look twice at his Jawbone PRIME, and it remains the SlashGear choice if you’re looking for a sturdy, long-lasting hands-free kit with excellent audio quality.
