here’s a brand by the name of Realtree out there that specializes in making some of the most well-known camouflage patterns on the market. Here in 2014, we’re seeing Realtree take a big stab at the gadget market, connecting with 3rd party groups like PowerA for gaming controllers, Skullcandy for headphones, and LifeProof for device cases. Pretty soon we’ll be able to camouflage not only our clothing, but everything else we carry too!
Bowers & Wilkins has been in the market producing all sorts of audio products for a long time. The products that the company produces are very high-end and expensive. One of the products that B&W has been producing for a long time are the P5 on-ear headphones. Check out our unboxing of a set of P5 headphones we got hands on back in 2010 for more details.
Coming completely out of left field with a release of Star Wars headphones - officially licensed and everything - was 50 Cent and SMS Audio. It’s difficult to describe the way this new cross-section of Star Wars headphones looks and feels without being there with them in your own hands, as it were. It’s almost as if they’re made to look like they’re made for children, but continue to impose the possibility of high-end sound - an interesting market to be going after, for sure.
As with the Sennheiser mash-up that happened back in 2010, Monster has partnered with Adidas Originals to launch a line of high-performance headphones, replete with the iconic bright-blue brand coloring. The lineup will include both earbuds and over-ear headphones, all of which will be available by the end of next month.
The team at Mionix can never be called out for not taking their time with a product - certainly not in the case of the Mionix NASH 20 headset. Here we’re seeing a pair of headphones with a mic that were originally scheduled to be released last year - here at CES 2014, we’re seeing them in their final form for the first time. For an idea of how high-end these cans sound right this minute, Mionix points toward the meaning of NASH: “according to Arabic mythology, NASH is an Arrowhead, which is a suitable name for a top class gaming headset with superior precision and sharp sound.”
Sennheiser is known for making great headphones, and their MOMENTUM lineup is no exception. While at CES 2014, we had the chance to check their new Ivory headphones out. With a full lineup of colors and sizes to choose from, the MOMENTUM headphones are probably going to suit just about everyone.
Jabra has the Solemate and the Solemate Mini, and as we learned back in October, they had plans to add a third model. This latest goes one step larger and is the Solemate Max. Essentially, Jabra rounded out the collection with a bigger model. Aside from the growth in size though, the key features are the same across the board.
This week Sennheiser has brought a collection of headphones to the public, rolling out earbuds, a brand new color for their classic headsets, and three pairs of new DJ-aimed headphones. This new range comes with a common look througout, but each unit works with a slightly different sound delivery. They’re also in any color you like - so long as it’s black with blue accents.
In addition to the new MOMENTUM Ivory model, Sennheiser has introduced the MM 30G in-ear headset at CES today. The headset is aimed at Samsung's GALAXY owners, with support for the Galaxy S 2 and higher, as well as the tablets. There's a mobile remote control built into the headset, as well, offering simple control over the device.
While we won’t go too far into the long-term listening experience involved in the Razer Adaro series headphones and earbuds appearing this week at CES 2014, we will say this: they look and feel great. Straight from Razer we’ve heard that they’ve gone back to the drawing board with this whole series, bringing on what they suggest is three key points: durability, comfort, and “uncompromising audio quality.” And they come in black and green, imagine that!
