Shure has already announced a couple new microphones today for home users and the company has also unveiled a new headset for the iPhone/iPod that has a mic and a music controller built-in. The new headset is called the Shure SE115m+ and is compatible with most iPods and the iPhone line.

Our experiences with bone conduction have been mixed; we didn’t have fantastic results with Motorola’s Endeavor HX1 Bluetooth headset but a brief play with music-centric headphones have been more impressive.  So we’re holding judgement on the Sanwa 400-HS015 Bluetooth sunglasses until we read a review: they hook up to your cellphone, PMP or notebook and stream stereo audio via the Bluetooth A2DP profile, but use bone-conduction rather than traditional in-ear buds.

Sometimes it’s simple ideas that are the best, and Sony Ericsson’s SensMe system is a good example. The pictures here really speak for themselves: Elecom have launched a set of LEGO-themed headphones, the PLAYBRICK EHP-CIN40, and if you've never quite been able to give up your childhood addiction with plastic building blocks then you're bound to find these appealing.  Supplied with four different earbud sizes, Elecom are even going so far as to suggest that sound quality is decent, though we'd believe that when we heard it.

Thanks to a new European Union ruling, any PMP sold in Europe will soon need to have a lower default volume level so as to avoid ear damage.  The so-called "safe exposure" levels will be a condition of sale for any MP3 player, including Apple's iPod range, though users will be able to override the settings if they choose.

Sony Japan have outed their latest set of headphones, and while the MDR-770LP may not have anything fancy like Bluetooth connectivity they’re nonetheless pretty handsome.  Based around a pair of moveable neodymium magnet drivers, the headphones are finished in with a faux-leather effect.
