Hanspree ST251 and ST281 1080p HDTVs arrive

Hannspree have announced a new range of 1080p-capable displays, the ST-series, offering entry-level sizing with budget price tags.  The ST251 and ST281 are 25-inch and 28-inch HDTVs respectively, with 10,000:1 dynamic contrast and two HDMI ports apiece.

HANNSG HH251HP 25-inch LCD display announced

HANNSG have announced a new 24.6-inch widescreen LCD display, the HH251HP, which promises distortion-free aspect ratio support and full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution.  Boasting 15,000:1 dynamic contrast (actual contrast is 800:1) and 5ms response time, the display isn’t going to trounce a high-end panel, but there’s plenty on offer for budget buyers.

Hannspree ST251MKB HDTV revealed

Hannspree announced a new LCD HDTV today called the ST251MKB and it features a 1080p resolution. Measuring in at 25-inches, this HDTV is a part of the new ST series, meant for the mainstream market.

Hannspree HANNSnote SN10E1 netbook: same old MSI Wind

Hannspree are hoping to catch up with the netbook crowd with their own model, the HANNSnote SN10E1.  A rebadged MSI Wind, the HANNSnote has the same old specs that have now etched themselves into our weary brains: Intel’s Atom N270 1.6GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and a 10-inch 1024 x 600 display.

HANNspree HT09 LCD HDTV: 28-inch budget buy

TV manufacturer HANNspree may be better known for their slightly bizarre themed monitors, but the company also produces entry level standard displays too.  The HANNspree HT09 is one such display, a 28-inch LCD HDTV with full HD 1920 x 1200 resolution, 3ms response speed and twin HDMI inputs.

HANNSpree XV GT LCD TV – budget range digital TVs

How digital are they? They come with a built in DVB-T tuner, this thing is so ready for the switch.

However, if you live in the UK and want to get a new TV that prepares you for the switch, but you don’t have coverage of the digital signal yet, its ok, this TV still has an analog tuner too. The DVB-T tuner will support all the freeview channels, and you can go into interactive mode too, but no Freeview Playback support.

CES 2007: Hannspree Themed Monitors

In a day and age where all tasteful design points towards minimalism and chic, Hannspree seems to have missed the memo. Its great that they attempt to go the road less traveled, but I have to say some of their monitor designs are God awful and I’m surprised they actually expect us to pay extra for it. Sure, that baseball-themed LCD might be great for little Tommy just as that firetruck LCD might be great for little Timmy, but any parents willing to pay extra for a dressed up inferior 19-inch panel should have their kids taken away.

And do the kids really care if that baseball-themed LCD is handcrafted of genuine leather? Ok, so maybe I’m being a bit harsh, and ultimately there’s probably going to be some fanatic baseball fan out there in his 30s dying to get one of these. Take a look and judge for yourself. I like my bezels thin, you?
