Acer K330 Projector hands-on

Acer has officially launched its K330 projector, the first LED model to pack a 500 lumens LED lamp, and with a footprint smaller than a magazine. Running at WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution and promising a 4,000:1 contrast ratio, the K330 not only offers the usual HDMI, component and composite inputs, but PC compatibility, optional WiFi and even an SD card slot and USB port to bypass your Blu-ray deck or computer altogether.

Ooma has been pushing its Ooma Telo VoIP adapter for some time now, promising free US calls and cut-price international rates, and now the base-station has received some home-friendly accessories to help snip through the ethernet cable. The new Ooma Telo Air wireless adapter is, as the name suggests, a WiFi dongle that gives you more freedom to place the main unit away from your router, while the Ooma Bluetooth option is getting extended to all users. Say hello to the newest 4G Android tablet, the ACER Iconia Tab A501. What we have here is the twin brother to the popular Tab A500 yet this bad boy has been treated to some AT&T 4G love. Before we get ahead of ourselves I’ll start by mentioning this is not 4G LTE, instead it features AT&T 4G HSPA+ speeds. We might not have LTE but she cruises along just fine, that and the dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor helps. Read on below for our first impressions and some hands-on video.

The Calimeo 3D model packs double the lenses into its palm-friendly chassis, recording Full HD 1920 x 1080 footage and allowing users to preview the 3D effect with a glasses-free autostereoscopic LCD display.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE hands-on & speedtested

Vodafone Germany has quietly brought along a Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 packing LTE and an upgraded processor to IFA 2011 this week, adding 4G connectivity to the 8.9-inch Honeycomb slate. Rather than the 1GHz chip originally found in the Galaxy Tab 8.9, this German model has an unspecified 1.5GHz CPU according to the spec sheet, along with a Super AMOLED display.
