Halo 4 pirates feel the wrath of Microsoft’s banhammer

Halo 4 will definitely be one of the biggest games of the year, so it really isn't much of a surprise that some Xbox 360 owners are eager to download a pirated version of the game that popped up on torrent sites over the weekend. Microsoft isn't taking this leak lightly though, as MCV reports that the company is handing out permanent Xbox Live bans to anyone caught playing the game with their console connected to the Internet. Halo 4 multiplayer class specializations detailed

As we slowly approach Halo 4's November 6 release date, more and more details are beginning to come out of 343 Industries. Today we were introduced to something that's going to make Halo 4's multtplayer stand out quite a bit from other games in the series: multiplayer specializations. Once players have ascended through the first 50 levels of the ranking system, they'll have the opportunity to pick from a group of 8 specializations. Once a specialization is picked, players get 10 more ranks to rise through, unlocking 9 different cosmetic bonuses along the way, and then a special armor mod once reaching level 10. New Halo 4 trailer shows off weapons to dubstep

A new Halo 4 trailer has launched, and this time around it's all about the weapons, baby. With a dubstep song serving as our backing track, we're introduced to weapons new and old, and get a chance to see how each one functions in Halo 4. Halo 4 Xbox 360 bundle becomes official

We already had a feeling that Microsoft was planning to roll out a limited edition Xbox 360 bundle to go along with November's release of Halo 4, but this weekend the bundle got an official reveal at the San Diego Comic-Con. Like most of the other limited edition consoles we've seen come and go throughout the years, this bundle features some snazzy artwork on the console itself and the controllers, but you'll also be paying a premium price if you want one. Why Microsoft Should Acquire A Major Game Publisher

Microsoft’s success in the gaming market has been nothing short of astounding. From starting out as a company with little knowledge about how the market works to becoming the leading console maker for over a year, Microsoft has cemented itself as a major player.

However, the one thing the company is missing right now is a deep first-party game lineup. 343 Industries will undoubtedly help with the Halo 4 launch, and every now and then, something good comes out of Microsoft Game Studios, but I think it’s about time the software giant acquires a major publisher.

Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn official trailer debuts

Microsoft has offered the official trailer for the live-action digital series Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn. The trailer looks really cool but offers no real insight into what the series will be like. It opens with a scene of bullet casings laying on the floor as sparks fly around, and you see a Spartan standing with his back to you. The series will debut on October 5 and will span five episodes.
