Google has announced and update for the iPhone app for Google Voice. The updated app brings a lot of new features to the smartphone when used in the WiFi Google Voice service. The latest version of the app is 1.4.0.2372 and it adds some of the features that a bunch of users have been asking for. One of the big ones is the ability to send text to multiple recipients. Google Voice in pre-launch Euro testing

Google has confirmed that its Google Voice service is currently in testing in Europe, though has blamed legislative hurdles as well as engineering issues for not yet publicly launching the VoIP service. European Director of Business Development, Jens Redmer, announced the dogfooding at the European Pirate Summit event in Cologne, Germany today, TNW reports, saying that he himself was trialling the service and was making particular use of the voicemail transcription. Launched in the US and Canada last year - and updated last month with support for multiple simultaneous calls - the freshly extended service will allow users to call landlines and cellphones at reduced rates. While similar items have been possible in the past on Android, this is the first time they’ve been available to the home user. Sprint Google Voice invites arriving early

Sprint adding Google Voice Integration to all devices [Video]

The Integrated Google Voice functionality announced alongside the Sprint Nexus S 4G will be available to all Sprint CDMA handsets, regardless of whether or not they run Android. The carrier has signed a deal with Google that will see them offer subscribers the opportunity to use their Sprint number with Google Voice, no porting required, as well as using Google's voicemail transcription service. Google Nexus S 4G hits Sprint this spring

The Sprint Nexus S 4G has been made official this morning, the first Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone with 4G WiMAX support, and the first to bring the new Integrated Google Voice Experience to Sprint Android devices. The same Nexus S handset as we've seen from Google before, only with the added benefit of WiMAX connectivity, the Nexus S 4G will allow existing Sprint subscribers to use their current number as their Google Voice number, without having to pay to port it over. The WiMAX version of the Google Nexus S has been confirmed, with a mention briefly spotted on Sprint's site. Caught by an Engadget tipster (and then promptly yanked by the carrier) the Nexus S 4G will apparently be "the first smartphone with fully integrated Google Voice."
