Google Docs Now Let You Edit Documents on the Go

For Google, their Docs endeavor was meant to make creating documents of all sorts, from text to spreadsheets, easier, and more accessible. No longer did you need to pay extra money for extra software. Just load up the web application, and you're able to create a document right there and then. But, for the mobile world, doing that wasn't all that possible. Until now. Google has just announced that they've made the mobile version of Google Docs now easier, and now you can even edit documents while on the go.

Google, as they tend to do, have managed to wrap up a bunch of announcements in one blog post, over at their official blog. At today's Google Atmosphere event in Paris, the search juggernaut had plenty of good things to announce. For example, as of today, Google is now being used by over 3 million businesses, and there are now over 30 million users within businesses, organizations, and school that make use of Google's collaborative utilities, like Google Docs, as well as messaging services like Google Talk.

Today, the f8 conference is going on, and already there's a shockwave felt from the conversations therein. More than likely you've used one of the many services available to you from Google Docs, the online document creating service brought to you by Google. They've actually just updated their service, too. But, it looks like Microsoft wants to jump into the whole cloud-based-document-creating-game, because Microsoft's FUSE labs and Facebook have collaborated to bring the world Docs.com.

Google Docs Gets Upgraded and Brings A Lot More Features With It [video]

If you own a computer, then you probably use a word processor in one form or another. Whether you use the stalwart Microsoft Word, or even try to find your way around Apple's Pages, there's an option for you. Even in the freeware area, if you like to download things. But, one of the better options out there is Google's Docs, the free service from Google. Though, since its inception, many people have said that it's missing a few features that prevent hardcore users from actually sticking to it, or using it on a normal day-to-day basis. Looks like all that's about to change, though.
