Take a gander at this. This may be the weirdest makeup compact in the history of makeup. The thing looks like a handgun, but instead of bullets the gadget hides all the make up a well to do woman with a handgun fetish would need for a night of dodging the cops or sitting in security at the airport. The device is made by Ted Norton, a Dutch Jewelry designer.

There are two versions with one in white called Dior 001 and the other in black called Channel 001. The Dior 001 version will cost $11,500 and packs inside a Dior lip gloss, antique hairpin, 18K gold toothpick, perfume, and a 50-gram 24K gold bar. It also has a spot for a umm…Viagra pill… and a flash drive.

The other version is the Channel 001 you see here in black. This one is $17,000 and has the same stuff inside with Channel branded cosmetics. You have to go back to the designer’s studio to refill the makeup if you need to. The gold bar is the weird thing to me, it’s not like in a pinch you can pay the cabbie in gold and get change.

We have all been there, 30 outlets, but only able to use 6. Nothing is more frustrating than buying a monster power strip with 30 or more outlets only to find most of them are un-useable. Not because there is something wrong with the outlets, but the shape of the power adapter you are plugging in ends up covering 2 or 3 additional outlets. Then there are those fat power adapters that can only be plugged in from one angle and naturally that angle makes almost half the power strip useless. Pivot Power, from Quirky has a solution. Pivot Power is a flexible power strip that can help reduce some of that frustration.

Each outlet on the Pivot Power can bend or flex to help find a more convenient angle to plug something in. There is a hinge between every outlet on the strip. This allows more flexibility when choosing how to plug something in, literally. They only swivel in the side to side direction; it would have been nice to see one or two of the outlets bend in the vertical direction also. But as it is, the Pivot Power could probably help simplify the process many of us have to deal with when trying to find a free outlet.

It comes in white with six feet of cord and six flexible outlets. Six outlets is not enough for most of us, so we will have to buy a few. Just don’t give in to the temptation to daisy-chain the power strips together in a long line with one plugged in to another. It offers 672 Joules of surge protection, and is available for $29.99. Not the only power strip solution of its kind, but we like the overall design. It looks like it will match Ikea style décor. (That may or may not be a positive for you.)

I may be the only girl in the world that doesn’t particularly love trying on clothes. Sure, I like getting new threads but having to go through that process is both tedious and time consuming. But now, the Virtual Mirror promises to make trying on clothes a breeze, and you don’t even have to take off your jacket.

The Virtual Mirror can help you decide what clothes will look best on you quickly. It works by overlaying an image of your clothing of choice over your picture. There are some software programs out there that already perform this task, but the idea here is to help you make decisions while actually out and about.

The only problem is that the technology has not been perfected to the point yet where the overlaid clothing image looks realistic over your image. But given a little time, I think this is rather promising.

Be it either chic with expensive leather work or something a little more cute, like this bag. It features a quirky design and there is no mistaking it as anything but girly. From the cute little hearts and bows to the pink zipper.

It is sold by Quirky Bags who isn’t going to make things easy by just saying what size laptops would fit. Instead they give the overall dimensions of the bag, which are 40 x 30 x 10cm. Those in the UK are in luck because this bag offers free shipping for you. It will cost you £100.00 or about $195.

These girly accessories for your DS look a bit like cosmetic cases. It actually also includes a screen cleaner that looks identical to a compact for your face powder. I do like that although the case is overly feminine, it isn’t the usual bright pink.

Granted the inside of the hard case for your games features a bright pink, but it doesn’t go for the cop out color that many other cases do. It also includes a stylus that goes with the case a bit better. Although I’m sure there will be a great deal of ladies who find this cheesy, there will likely be at least a couple that enjoy these almost Victorian style accessories.

The hard case to store your games is priced at just under $10, the screen cleaner compact for about $7.50, stylus for $6.50, the case for your DS is $11 and the soft case to put all of this in is $14. You can also pick up some screen protectors for $6. None of it is overly expensive, unfortunately though it’s a Japanese product so you’ll have to pay for it to be shipped all the way to you.

The nice thing is that she doesn’t sell just one type of bag either.

She has sleeves, over the shoulder bags as well as book bags, all of which would hold your laptop nicely. She has a few different color schemes as well to give you some options. Each color scheme has several different accessory options to go with it too.

For example things like a luggage tag, or a small pouch for paint brushes, pencils or knitting needles. The laptop bags will hold a 13”, 15” or 14” and a 17” or 15.4”. The prices range from about $30 (for one of the smaller bags) up to $100 which is about what you’ll pay for one of her laptop bags.

This does happen on occasion, it’s usually a sign that I’m about to be very ill. I can never decide if I’m writing up more pink stuff because I’m running a fever or if the pink stuff causes the illness. I’ll get back to you on that one.

Well this latest pink gear is a Nano case that even features a cute little face, as if the pink weren’t sweet and innocent enough. They of course had to add ears and that whole bear face. On the back of the case is a spot to wind the earbuds cord around, which is convenient, but it’d make it difficult to fit into your pocket.

At least it comes with a lanyard though. Maybe we can get a review unit of this in too and Vincent will have yet another thing to make poor Ann wear. The case itself is from Focal Point Computer, but beyond that there aren’t any details on the product.

The speaker system, JBL Spyro 2.1 Speaker system doesn’t give a whole lot of details. That is besides mentioning it has a subwoofer and two flower shaped speakers. However, the manufacturers seem to think that it presents rich and crisp sound quality.

Which if true, would be nice. No girl likes having a set of speakers that are pretty, but only as powerful as that of a squeaker toy you hand to Fluffy. It comes in white, black and of course, pink and is being sold for $110.19.

Alright, so I’m going to say this and we’ll see if Hell happens to freeze over. I actually don’t think this one is all that bad. Is it safe? Alright, looks like the world doesn’t end when I’m actually nice to the Solid Alliance.

This 2.0 USB drive features 2GB of memory and weighs a 20g, despite its heavy look. It measures 32x32x6mm. The drive also locks with the dainty little key that comes with it.

Instead they blend in well with the oversized purses that have become so popular.

The line has several different options, from the overly chic to the more relaxed styles, for those that don’t really fit with the faux croc leather bags. The best part is the security that comes with having one of these bags.

Each one has a tracker ID tag, so if you lose it or it’s taken you can easily find it again. The bags start at around $300 and go up from there. Luckily they have a line for both the UK and the US as well as other parts of the world. Their bags will fit both 13” and 15” laptops.

I have on occasion been swayed to change brands due to a commercial that draws me in enough to make me think the new brand will do something new and spectacular. However, I typically find its no different from the rest. Essentially, it’s black gunk wiped across eyelashes.

Yet, this battery-operated one is supposed to offer a full 360-degree coat on your lashes by vibrating the wand. To be honest, I still am skeptical that it is anything all that revolutionary, it’s worth a shot though. It will be sold exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue, releasing on July 17th.

We’ve all seen the oversized purses, so they have taken advantage of that and made a laptop bag that looks exactly like that

The bag will fit up to 15.4” laptops and has little metal feet on the bottom to protect it from dirt and being scraped on the ground. It is being sold for $499.

Also if you aren’t a fan of your speakers floating around in your bag without any protection, this hardshell zipper pouch might be better for those that are a little less graceful.

Unfortunately they don’t mention any word on pricing or availability. However, many of those sites have an area in which you can contact for pricing and more information.

Nothing bright pink or ridiculous, just showing your geeky pride in all of your gaming consoles. Well, almost all of them, one distinct one that is missing is the poor overlooked Playstation.

At least it features a few classic controllers and not just the new. Of course, there is a guitar hero controller thrown in. Also no shocker that it comes from a vendor on Etsy and is currently being sold for $24.99.

Of all the things a woman carries in her purse, somewhere in those terrifying depths is typically a compact of some sort. Now, I say that and I haven’t carried one in several years, however, most women do carry them. This compact actually offers a bit of technology thrown in, and no I don’t mean just pretty LED lights to illuminate your face while riding in dark cars.

This compact has a card reader stowed away inside of it and the shocker is, it doesn’t come in pink. Although, pink would be cute, I am impressed that someone created a useful gadget for women that isn’t a pretty pink.

The compact is also nice since you could leave the cards in it and close the lid, leaving them perfectly safe and stashed away for when needed. The compacts come in both blue and gray and it is being sold for $15.

Whether or not bright red lips on the front is your style, having a purse that is custom made around your gadgets would be nice for a change. Not only does it list areas for the common gadgets like cellphones and MP3 players but even for the Nintendo DS and the PSP.

It also has an area for cables and all those other cords that are more difficult to find a spot for. The bag is polyester with faux leather trim and soft poly-cotton velvet lining. It is being sold for a very affordable $24.95.

These accessories for earbuds make me want to cry a little. The trend started a bit cute and even pretty on occasion but now it has gone much too far within a fairly short period of time. These very sad Gribbits look like they should be neatly packaged at the local dollar store or flea market.

Needless to say I don’t see these things going anywhere near my earbuds, and I pray to never see them on anyone else’s ears either. However, I’m sure that I’ll eventually see a woman with a sweater covered in teddy bears wearing these sad things around.

The charms can be used on pencils, stethoscopes and obviously, earbuds. There are several varying styles all of which are just as cheesy as these two. They have a large range at least, from religious, to bugs and animals to flowers, sports and food. The food being a set of cherry ones, which I might find interesting if I weren’t already horrified from the rest of the line. The prices range from $5.99 to $14.99.

I have my mouse that I like to show off to everyone and for me, it fits, it’s a gaming mouse with more buttons than I can handle. Yet, it is my pride and joy right along side my illuminated keyboard. So I understand the need for gadgets that fit your needs and personality. For me, this mouse would have every one of its faux diamonds picked off in a week, but for someone else its perfect in every way.

The mouse measures 10 x 3 cm and is being sold online for about $55. Which is much cheaper than some of the Swarvoski adorned gadgets that have popped up here and there.

Anyone offering chic red leather laptop bags is above the monotonous average in my book. The bags all offer room for files or notebooks and have an adjustable divider in the main compartment.

The front compartment features pockets for your smaller gadgets so they aren’t just floating around in there. Each bag comes in black, caramel, oakwood and red. They have a style for either 15” or 13.5” ranging in prices from $350-$370.

At one point I vaguely recall coming across a Mario version of this corset, however, it seems they are no longer selling it. The vendor on Etsy is selling a few classic cartoon inspired ones instead, if this Zelda one doesn’t suit you. One of which being Rainbow Brite, they also feature a classic Ninja Turtles dress. I currently own three different Ninja Turtles t-shirts as well as one of the original action figures, but that dress is a bit over the top, even for me.

The Zelda corset from the looks of the back of it, appears to be more of a cute corset than a functional one. Real corsets are strung slightly differently, so you won’t have to worry about gasping for air the entire day. All of the different corsets are being sold for $99.98.

These earbuds from Altec Lansing is a refreshing change from that issue.

For all those drawn to all that sparkles and shines these cute little earbuds feature enough Swarvoski Crystals to keep anyone satisfied. It also features a snug fit for those more petite girly ears as well as a bit of passive noise reduction.

It has 9mm neodymium drivers and gold-plated plug to give you a nice quality of sound. Altec Lansing is selling them for $59.95, however, Amazon is selling them for a bit cheaper at $29.95.

I’m not sure which, I never was that great at throwing around deep and meaningful quotes. This flower lamp not only features a bright and cheerful design, it offers a bit of creative customization as well.

The petals on the flower are bendable, so you can place the flower in any position you like. It also features a low voltage energy saving bulb, making it slightly more eco-responsible. Frankly, if I could afford it I’d add several of these during the dreaded winter months to cheer me up when it’s so dreary outside.

The laser cut petals can be purchased in either red, black or white. The rest of the lamp is made of both acrylic and stainless steel. Unfortunately as with all the pretty lights, this one is slightly expensive, it is being sold for almost $700.

One of the bags offered is on wheels and although I really don’t like the idea of rolling my laptop around, I understand the necessity for some. I myself have a bad back and have on occasion not been able to carry my laptop bag. The Contour Balance bags are made to be ergonomic, compact and made from water-resistant fabrics.

They also feature a impact-resistant laptop compartment. The bags come in three different designs, one having the classic shoulder strap design, another a backpack and the third being the handy one that you can wheel about. Prices have not been announced just yet.

When they can fit a webcam into a milimeter-depth notch in a laptop’s screen bezel, a manufacturer would have to be offering something pretty impressive to sell one standing eight inches tall on your desktop. But Boynq are positioning their Alibi unit as something more interesting than a simple way to video chat with your parents; it may be a 1.3-megapixel webcam with integrated speakers and microphone, but what you’re really paying for is the design. Like some monstrous limb cinched in with the brushed-finish silver volume band, the Alibi’s selling point is its pop-up, twist & rotate camera. SlashGear braved vague and unsettling memories of War of the Worlds and put the Alibi through its very purple paces.

You can’t fault the retail packaging: the double-door presentation box is color matched to whichever Alibi you’ve bought (green, orange, pink or blue), Boynq’s glib marketing is very much in attendance and the whole thing would make a satisfying gift. Inside it’s accompanied by a manual and USB cable; the Alibi is plug’n'play on Windows XP, but anything earlier will need the drivers downloading from Boynq’s site. With no external supply, the Alibi is powered solely from the USB 2.0 connection; so underpowered laptop ports may struggle. However, the mobile market probably isn’t going to be offering bag space to the towering webcam, so it’s likely a relatively moot point.

Sadly, for all the design, the Alibi’s specs is nothing special: 1.3-megapixels works out to a 640 x 480 VGA image from the webcam, while the speakers – bizarrely placed, what with all that freestanding body available to play with, underneath on the base – croak out a mere 5 Watts. The result is sound on a par with basic laptop speakers, lacking bass at the low-end and clarity at the top-end, and that readily distorts when the volume is turned up.

More satisfying was the microphone, which is built into the webcam “eye” pod and directional with where it’s pointing, and that captures clear audio thanks to some echo cancellation gubbins and magnetic shielding against interference from cellphones and the like.

The webcam pod acts as the power button – turning the unit on when extended – which means you can’t use it as a temporary privacy feature during video chat (covering up the camera’s lens while still continuing audio chat); it also free rotates up to 300 degrees and can be tilted 25 degrees. Sadly the positioning is all manual, not motorized as in some of Creative’s high-end webcams. It’s a shame, because remote control of the lens might’ve made the Alibi a great consumer-level video conferencing unit; instead, its sheer bulk means it’s actually less convenient than a small, traditional aftermarket webcam that clips to the top of your monitor.

It’s tough to recommend the Alibi: those who are looking for a basic webcam (and, at the end of the day, that’s all the camera in the Boynq device is equal to) will find something similar for far less than the Alibi’s $60 street price, and those who want speakers will be disappointed by the seriously weedy quality. A motorized camera would win it back some kudos, but Boynq would have to achieve that without significantly pushing up the price. As it is, we’d suggest you look elsewhere to get your webcam kicks. If cute and fun factors are your utmost preference, then Alibi might be just right for you.

[rating:2.5/5]

Using both red and amber light for powerful anti-inflammatory properties and fibroblasts and collagen production, Baby Quasar says it gives long lasting results. It says its near infrared light will penetrate more deeply to stimulate blood flow and circulation and is the foundation of healthy looking skin.

I know that this is targeted more towards women but I also know there are a lot of men out there too who would secretly love this product. It costs $450, youth isn’t cheap.

I have no idea how it happened but it seems all of my posts today have been over products that are either pink or adorned with hearts. I swear I haven’t gone mad over Valentine’s Day, it just turned out that way I suppose. Well straight from Etsy comes the Weighted Companion Cube Dangler as well as the necklace.

They are sold separately from the same vendor, who I’m thankful has a bit of practicality when it comes to jewelry. She didn’t leave the cube as a huge cube to hang from your neck, but made a one sided flat pendent instead. The Dangler is meant to hang from a suction cup, but she suggests also hanging it from your rear view mirror.

The necklace comes with a beaded chain, which I would replace, that much pink is just too much for me. The pendent measures 1 1/8 x 1 1/8 and is being sold for $15. The Dangler measures 1 x 1 x 1 and is being sold for $35. It comes with a suction cup.

This Incase not only comes in pink but in a tan and dark brown as well, however, neither are quite as cute as the pink. It does leave a couple of options if you aren’t a fan of pink though. The case will fit a 13” MacBook and has two other sizes that will fit a 12” laptop and another at 15” for the MacBook Pro.

The case’s exterior features durable neoprene, the interior is cushioned as always and it also has a heavy-duty zipper. All three of the sizes are being sold for $34.95.

Any woman who tends to enjoy carrying around half of everything she owns in her purse might need a bigger laptop bag as well. This laptop bag can be used as more of a day to day bag, while still looking casual. In the picture shown by itself, it doesn’t seem to be that large of a bag. Yet when shown on the arm of the model, it is quite obvious it could hold enough to keep any pack rat happy.

It has a slightly abnormal spot to house the laptop, but I really wonder if it wouldn’t be more convenient in its new placement. The pouch for the laptop is well padded and zips closed to keep it safe. MacBooks fit great in the slot and it will hold up to a laptop measuring 12.78” x 9.1” x 1.08”.

The overall dimensions of the tote are 16” x 11.25”. It features four inner pockets, both the laptop pocket and the large compartment are lined. The bag is being sold for $58, the only available colors are the ones shown above.

Aside from being pink the case is metal and plastic with a “rubberized surface” and it supports a 2.5” SATA HDD. It uses a USB 2.0 interface and has LED indicator lights.

Now here’s the part where girls get excited: accessories. It comes with the case, a carrying bag, USB cable, manual, screws and a screwdriver. It’s got it all and for only $20.

Straight from Etsy as usual, this little scarf gives a feminine twist to the classic Mario mushroom. Besides that it looks like something I’d want to curl up with. That is, if it were slightly larger, like a blanket.

Now that would be something, to have a Mario blanket made out of the same materials as this scarf. The seller Protean sells some odd products, but a couple I would be more than happy to snag. I’m not really sure about the jewelry made out of coffee beans though, that just seems a bit much for me.

Unfortunately the scarf is as of today sold out, however, maybe if we beg enough they’ll make a few more. When it was still in stock it was being sold for $25, and it measured at 54 inches.

At the time I was flipping through her products I happened to be sipping on a Mt. Dew and about had it come out my nose when I saw the price. Both of the one of a kind scarves are being sold for a whopping $150 a piece.

Personally, I would sweet talk someone with a bit of a crafty touch to make if for me. I might even fork out about $50 to get them to do it. However, $150 just seems like a bit much.

The sleeves are specifically for the the MacBook fitting the 13.3”, the 15.4” and the 17”. The great thing is they not only feature a cute pink version but green and black as well. It features a layer of foam padding, a faux-suede interior and a slip pocket for any documents and papers you might need.

It also has an ergonomic retractable handle. The prices vary slightly depending on the size you want. The 13.3” and the 15.4” are both priced at $39.95. The 17” is being sold for slightly more at $44.95.
