The Indianapolis 500 will be taking place later next month, and it's known as "the greatest spectacle in racing" and one of the biggest racing events in the world, right up there with the 24 Hours of Le Mans. 2014 Corvette Stingray edges toward market as model release detailed

This week the 2014 Corvette Stingray has been announced with release details in both its upcoming Convertible and coup modles for the road within the year. With the 2014 Corvette Stingray lineup, it would appear that both the coup and the Convertible will be available at under a sixty thousand dollar starting point while Chevrolet marketing's vice president Chris Perry assured the public that at such a point, thre will be no competition from the vehicle line's opponents. This set of vehicles has been shown at auto shows earlier this year including the 2013 New York Auto Show where we got our own introduction to the design.

GM’s Opel division returns to Shanghai Auto Show after 5 years

After a 5 year absence, General Motor's Opel division will be returning to the Shanghai Auto Show this year to debut 3 new cars. It hopes to bring its cars to more markets aside from Europe, in hopes of revitalizing its finances. Opel has been on the decline since 1999, losing about $18 billion in total with 10% of that figure being lost last year alone. By bringing its inventory to the world's largest market, China, it hopes to turn its financial luck around.

GM adds Facebook ads back to promo portfolio

Facebook and General Motors are bosom advertising buddies once more, with the car company returning to the social network to promote the Chevrolet Sonic, just short of a year after claiming it saw little return from ads on the site. The lure has been "newly available targeting and measurement capabilities on Facebook," Chevrolet marketing VP Chris Perry told AdAge, and will see the GM model pushed through the latest "Find New Roads" campaign.

GM reports 9.3% sales increase in Q1 2013

General Motors, maker of that awesome new Corvette, has reported its Q1 2013 sales figures, and it looks to be all good news. During the first quarter of this year, General Motors sold just under 665,000 vehicles, resulting in a 9.3% increase over the company's total vehicles sales from Q1 2012. The company also recorded its best March sales in five years, selling almost 246,000 vehicles in just 31 days.
