Dots Gloves make using touch devices in the cold comfortable

I can’t count the number of times I’ve been outside on my laptop during the colder months and wishing I could wear my gloves but can’t because the trackpad won’t register my fingers. Frustrating, to say the least, but now totally fixable with the Dots Gloves.

Dear Geeks Who Shall Not Be Named,

I’ve talked about the geek trend here on SlashGear before. In fact, I’ve been primarily acting in defense of nerds in general, being that I am one. But there’s one thing I can’t stand: the geek that gives the rest of us a bad name.

You know what I’m talking about before I even describe them, don’t you? These are the nerds that take it all a little too seriously. The ones that have no sense of humor. The ones that devote hours upon hours to playing D&D. No wait, I take that back. There’s nothing wrong with D&D. But if you dress up in costume and adopt a British accent while play sword fighting, well, I have a problem with that.

The Geek Factor: When Did it Become Cool?

nerdySomething is amiss in the universe. Thousands flocked to ComicCon a few weeks ago. Superhero movies are topping the box office and not just comic book lovers are in attendance. Everyone is calling themselves a “nerd” or a “geek.” But they don’t wear pocket protectors or horn-rimmed glasses. They may be socially awkward but they’re generally accepted. This is strange and I’m not sure if I like it. Being a geek has become cool.

And I should feel delighted, right? Being a geek, I spent years being ostracized for my interests, but now I can play WoW in public and no one will say anything when looking over my shoulder except maybe to comment on their level 51 mage and ask what realm I play on. It’s bizarre, to say the least!

Dr. Who TARDIS fitted with a gaming cabinet

Dr. Who has been a major geeky icon for quite some time, so it is only logical that someone take the Police Box and take it one step further. They actually crammed a home made arcade set up that will play plenty of retro games.
