Alienware 2012 lineup tipped, M17X R4, M14X R2, and M18X R2

This year's lineup for the gaming side of Dell's computing body has been revealed with three new Alienware laptop monsters, M17X R4, M14X R2, and M18X R2. The R2 units will both have the option for a black or RED exterior, while the R4 appears to only have the classic black coat with three options for fabulous GPUs on the innards. Xbox 720 tipped for fall 2013 with AMD 6000 series GPU

The next generation Microsoft Xbox 720 has been tipped to be shipping in late October or early November complete with six times the power in an AMD 6000 series GPU under the hood. There’ve been reports from several sources saying the same set of details, the most recent confirmation coming from IGN’s source close to the project. Specifically it appears that the Xbox 720 will be using the AMD Radeon HD 6670 working with support for DirectX11, 3D and 1080p HD output, and multidisplay output.

At nearly six years in production, hundreds of programmers, artists, contract workers, and writers, $200 million USD spent on the newest and grandest game by Electronic Arts' BioWare, Star Wars: The Old Republic is coming up now as the most expensive game to produce of all time. The Electronics Art studio BioWare hopes that the Old Republic will be able to grab all of that cash back on not only the $60 purchase price for the game as well as the $15 a month users will be paying to stay connected to the MMORPG's online servers. PlayStation Network down for Scheduled Maintenance on January 19th

For those of you wondering why the PlayStation Network is down today, they're currently letting the world know that they're going to be down until 9PM PST for maintenance. There's a new personal video game system in town, and it goes by the name PlayStation Vita - and what you're about to learn from no less than Tokashi Sogabe of the Sony Corporate Design Center is that it originally looked just a bit different than it exists in the wild today. In an interview done with James Gallagher of the official PlayStation Blog, Sogabe spoke on how his 27 years of experience working with Sony on such devices as the original Walkman, Vaio notebooks, and the most recent slim model of the PlayStation 3, lead him to the iteration of the PS Vita you see today - and how its original construction looked a bit different. Tomorrow is the day we'll find out if it's all true, or if what's true ends up being that Capcom is revealing a new game after their rather strange viral ad campaign "No Hope Left" complete with graffiti, a nameless blog, and video of a woman freaking out. While some of you have been following this campaign for a week or so, it's only today that we're finding out for sure that it's all tied to the gaming group, as Tuffcub from thesixthaxis has successfully sleuthed out. As it turns out, one of the graffiti photos posted this week was taken near this fellow's home, and upon closer inspection he found that it wasn't graffiti at all, but one big hoax.
