PSA: PokeMon apps for iPhone and Android are fake

This week the fact that a illegitimate clone of the game PokeMon Yellow (the special Pikachu edition, that is) is busting up the charts in the iTunes App Store charts for most popular download. While the game might download decently, you should note that the vast majority of people who have fallen for the promise of a PokeMon mobile game have found the game to not work in the slightest beyond the start screen. The same is true of Android with any app you download at the moment with the PokeMon name on it: Nintendo has not yet brought the game to the market, so whatever you're downloading - it's not the real deal. Angry Birds: Space ties with NASA and National Geographic

Rovio's teaser this past week of the newest Angry Birds release to be known as Angry Birds: Space has this week been given a PR boost by none other than NASA and National Geographic! In an interview with Yahoo Games, Rovio North America general manager had a bit more information on the game, especially in regards to what the game will hold for gameplay. We'd hypothesized that Angry Birds: Space would have at least one launch partner, Samsung's Galaxy Note being amongst them, but now it looks more like Rovio will be going to space much more literally! The game Dash Race is just about the most unique racing game you’re going to find on any platform – and I say that having played my fair share. What you’ll do in this iPhone-based pencil and grid racing game is draw lines from one square to the next, each player taking turns to see who can best the other in their mathematically calculated set of turns and straightaways. This game is derived from a game that you may have played while wasting time between classes in high school – in this case you won’t have to do any of the calculating yourself (unless of course you want to.)

Angry Birds Space teased, may land with Galaxy S III

The next generation of Angry Birds is right around the corner - a phrase we could say basically any day of the month. But this time it's true insofar as they've announced a brand new concept: Angry Birds Space. This will be an entirely separate game just like Angry Birds Seasons is separate from Angry Birds Rio, and not one whole heck of a lot of information has been revealed thus far. There have been several Temple Run impersonators sitting on the market over the past couple of weeks, and there are some pretty awesome temple run genre games out there such as iRunner, but the real deal Temple Run is now yet on the market. Minecraft Lego set revealed

There's a cult classic video game out there right now called Minecraft, and if you've ever played this block-tastic adventure of a puzzler, you know it lends itself perfectly to the real world block toy Lego. What's just what hundreds and thousands of Lego and Minecraft fans thought as Minecraft grew in popularity, and through a special "vote them in" program with Lego called Cuusoo, and the developers behind the Minecraft game Mojang are at the helm of the project. Max Payne 3 Trailer channels Big Lebowski

The next installment in the Max Payne series of hard-hitting video games is coming on soon, and as today's newly released trailer suggests, it's going to have a rather familiar story line. The idea that the video and the plotline look but dont necessarily feel like the cult classic film The Big Lebowski comes from Dan Stepleton from GameSpy, and because he's so very, very right, we've gotta go one step further. If you've not already picked up a PS Vita, today might be your lucky day, as many vendors are receiving an amount of early release Limited Edition bundles for everyone. Though the US release was originally going to have a pre-release featured bundle where you'd have to have pre-ordered in order to get one, Sony has apparently decided to ship enough packages for as many people as wanted to get in on the action early as possible. PlayStation Vita pre-release bundles have arrived, pre-orders not needed

While it should speak volumes that in order to get your hands on a PlayStation Vita before it's "official" release in the USA you do not need to have pre-ordered a unit, it may make more sense to focus on the price. Those of you who've pre-ordered a PSVita should be getting the system in your hands today or at the very least sometime this week, while those who did not pre-order the device will be able to head to their local gaming store today and pick one up for the pre-release bundle price. Portal ported to Android in homebrew edition

One of the most interesting first person action puzzle games to bend physics in the past 10 years has been ported - sort of - to Android. This game goes by the name Portal - perhaps you've heard of it - and what you're going to see is just the first level of many, many levels to come. The game centers around your ability to move through portals (in one end, out the other,) and this port proves that even though they're missing quite a bit of the graphics action, they can, indeed, do it. Twisted Metal PS3 drops in USA today

It's that time again, folks, time to take your love of destroying your auto-bound enemy to a whole new level of bright flashes of explosions and pain with Twisted Metal. In a 2012 release with the same name as the original murder-tastic car battle, this Twisted Metal is being sent out to the PlayStation 3 exclusively (at first, at least,) and will be available in all your favorite gaming stores right this minute (if you're lucky) for $60 USD.
